Pia Toscano has to be one of the most unjust eliminations on this show

Watching back on the finale, I have to say WOW. So many talented people to come from the show. Idc what people say, idol produced THE BEST talent out of any show.
Also, the WGWG performance made me mad. It reminded me of the robberies of Crystal, Jessica, Adam and Clark. I love David Cook though. He's the only WGWG who is actually amazing.

He was better than a lot of them, especially Heejun, DeAndre, Jeremy, Shannon, Jermaine, Erika (depending on the night), Colton, and Hollie (again depending on the night)

I know it's been said a thousand times, but let's say a prayer for what American Idol could have been post-Season 6 if it wasn't for the WGWG syndrome (Seriously though, almost 9 straight seasons and nobody said anything?). This author so aptly put it:
Just hours before the finale, Richard Rushfield, author of the book American Idol: The Untold Story, said, “ You have this alliance between young girls and grandmas and they see it, not necessarily as a contest to create a pop star competing on the contemporary radio, but as…who’s the nicest guy in a popularity contest,” he says, “ And that has led to this dynasty of four, and possibly now five, consecutive, affable, very nice, good-looking white boys.”
That is what killed the show. Somewhere along the way, people started voting for who's personality they liked most, instead of who was most talented/who was most likely to make it in the music industry.
Also, someone said it before, but that Bowie tribute was just. It was like the show was knowingly acknowledging how tacky that situation was and parading in front of our faces. And here I was thinking that Taylor Hicks winning Season 5 was going to be the end of the show haha

I have to agree. Five straight seasons of that made people lose hope of someone outside of that genre that they really like actually winning. But Season 12 pushed it down the drain further with the fact that Nicki and Mariah broke Idol's bank account and pretty much forced it into nothing but a cheap show that ended up only getting flop artists that came from the show, or people that were mentors for the week, or Demi Lovato, as performers for the results show. To go from having Katy Perry, Rihanna, Lady GaGa, Beyonce, Miley Cyrus, and etc on the show...to having to resort to bringing back flops like Stefano, Lee DeWyze, Colton, and others is just embarassing.
And on top of that, the only reason Candice won that season was because of the manipulation producers had to do just to get a female winner. Once they did that, the final three seasons weren't focused on that and Jena, Jax and LaPorscha got robbed as a result.
