YF is cute tho. I don't mind full singing tracks on PF and PFRR, but I think the singing tracks on TPP are horrible. I still don't get why y'all love Grand PiaNO so much. It's definitely getting a fat 0 in my rate.

She doesn't give us those runs when they're needed. A perfect example would be the bridge in PNP. That awkward pause then the chorus comes back in

Grand Piano was literally the first song I always went back to. When I saw it on the tracklist y'all were slobbing over Shanghai but I knew GP would punch me OUT.

I was 19 during the 2012 backlash. At that time in my life tho I was very depressed and Nicki was kind of the only bright spot in my life, so all the hatred she was receiving really kind of affected me. I think it's about time Nicki had another huge Super Bass type hit.


I know we've said she needs to stray away from pop, but her lead single does need major crossover appeal at least. Something like Work or One Dane would be cute, but maybe with a girlier twist. Part of what made Super Bass such a smash were it's memorable verses tho, so she should still keep it rap heavy.

I mean let's be honest. It wouldn't been a hit if it wasn't for Taylor. Super Bass was a bonus track and Nicki wasn't planning on releasing it until Taylor mentioned it and gave Super Bass a huge push.

This is her problem. When she tries the crossover route it's too formulaic and it's almost always uninspired. On top of that it's either too pop or too hip hop (I love her full hip hop so I don't mind on that). She struggles to find that happy medium when she can have both. Especially when we've seen her do it before

All she needs is a decent hook, decent production, and a dash of Nicki Minaj and boom. Nicki could easily have "Work" or "One Dance" but she gives us Gun Shot and TDG.
