Comparisons are meant to draw similarities or differences between to like or unlike entities, that's why it's called making a comparison. Of course having a high sex drive is natural for some and in and of itself is not a mental disorder, but certain mental illnesses can manifest in a way that would be viewed as a "sex addiction" (hence where the stigma comes in) in which someone engaging in sexual activity with high number of people is seeking sex as an emotional craving rather than sexual one.

Everyone is already at that point though. Humans use sex to satisfy psychological needs for closeness, intimacy, belonging, security, etc. more than the physical urge.

The fact is, as humans, we’ve actually evolved to use sex to meet our psychological needs, not our physical needs.

For instance, seeking validation through sex wouldn't make sex an addiction. It'd make it a social tool used to seek validation. I, and the APA, don't think anyone can become addicted to sex. But they can become addicted to the things associated with sex. But that's deeper than "sex addiction".
