I was 19 during the 2012 backlash. At that time in my life tho I was very depressed and Nicki was kind of the only bright spot in my life, so all the hatred she was receiving really kind of affected me. The funny thing is I didn't know Stan culture was even a thing at the time, I would just see the hate she got on Twitter and YouTube (
). I'm in a much healthier place now at 23.
