Electra Heart's concept is interesting but the music is quite a disappointment although it does have a few bops
I hate the concept behind Electra Heart even more than I hate the album. Like, she's essentially criticizing pop music even though what she had been making wasn't even all that outside that realm of pop music. And essentially creating Katy-lite Luke jams that aren't even all that distinguishable from "real" pop music hardly counts as satire. The album has a few good spots but they all veer away from that execrable persona and message.

I was talking about the whole Electra Heart and the archetypes thingy but I agree, everything was poorly handled. So glad she's going back to her alt pop roots, I'm ready for the slayage
teen idle is actually a kinda special song to me because i used to listen to it when i was going through really tough times and was kinda in a downward spiral oops
