Nah.. there's been test screenings for months. Apparently 10 Cloverfield Lane was another movie completely before they changed the title and JJ or whoever decided to use the Cloverfield name. It's all in the link above. More than enough people have said the same thing about seeing it (Reddit, Bloodydisgusting, YouTube, IMDB, etc.). That moment she's going out the door in the trailer is near the end of the movie.

And again, the actress herself has given some interviews that coincide with what happens in the movie. She and others are very careful not to either say or not say anything about lack of a monster, as we know it. Otherwise no one will go see it.

Also original Cloverfield wasn't a secret monster project. It wouldn't have made sense for a direct sequel to be one. They're doing a job, though. I think I'll see it despite reading all about it lol.

I'm so disappointed right now. I watched the film again a few nights ago to get me all hyped up for the sequel. It's not going to be the same without a monster

Unfortunate, as there is no monster in 10CFL. It's not connected to Cloverfield at all and the trailer very much shows that 95% of the film will likely be in the house, plus the actress revealing they're the only 3 people in the film and it's about their interaction/trust/tension.

But the false marketing is working, it will have a great weekend at release but a lot of upset social media users.

Which is funny, because the movie's entire plot is pretty much everywhere at this point.

I know early December it released, but the Bluray is slated for April. So it should be online by this month or next.

I watched Jeruzalem last week it was okay, just love the sunglasses haha, the twist and plot are quite predictable, but great movie

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is great, I literally like it because of the flow of the story is somewhat different and entertaining

Intruders was best for me it was well explain and executed the movie is definitely worth to watch

Kristy it was good but a bit bland because it's just plain story but still it has a good characters

It wasn't the best, it has lots of flaws don't expect an amazing movie, just fun and entertaining if you have nothing to do.

I feel like torture p*rn horror films are a bit icky. I don't really watch Saw and think it's scary, or find myself in fear at what I'm watching. Watching a group of people be murdered in some kind of device is... uncomfortable to say the least.

But, Saw actually had a concrete story behind the traps and the torture. Despite the fact the 7 films could have easily been shed down to a solid trilogy that would have been fairly fantastic, I'm excited to see what they do.

If Saw was less focused on the torture p*rn and more on the storyline and the criminal side of it all, it'd make for a great thriller series, is basically what I'm saying.

Nope. Don't waste your time. They bank most of the movie on a big twist which is super obvious.
There's no actual horror and the movie is slow paced and bland.

A lot of people here don't like it but I think it's worth checking out if you like slow burn and horror and none of that jumpscare ********. I think the directing alone is worth it and it has some amazing scenes.

Also, don't be fooled. The twist doesn't carry the film at all!

If all You into is cheap scares, monsters, ghosts, blood, gore then this is not a movie you should watch. If you like atmospheric movies and you enjoyed it follows and the babadook then you'll like it. I really enjoyed and it was shot beautifully imo.
