Agreed. It's really interesting to see how her voice has evolved over the years. I mean, I hate to say this but I think it was at her best when she performed Captivated/Electric Kiss at the NYU talent show. That was just unbelievable...especially combined with her amazing piano playing
I think excessive drinking and smoking probably caused her voice to be really raspy during The Fame era...and even if most of the time it never sounded really feminine or "pretty" as it kind of does now, you could tell there was so much power behind her voice. While her voice has improved and is much less raspy--she also has improved her higher vocals tremendously--her piano playing seems like it isn't as good as it used to be during The Fame era That's not to discredit her great piano playing now during her performances, but it was just on a different level when she performed Poker Face and Paparazzi acoustic (and even Eh Eh) with beautiful piano intros and playing throughout. I wish she could recapture that--I think what made Gaga truly standout was that she combined a good voice with impeccable piano skills and now it's a great voice with so-so piano playing. It improves her mass appeal because it showcases her musicianship in a way that only stans and some casual fans know about.
That being said, I don't want to sound like I'm complaining or whining. I'm incredibly appreciative of how talented Gaga is and how she gives her all for her fans...these are just constructive suggestions and critiques

I think she's purposely downplaying her piano playing. Not because she wants to but she just doesn't play it as much as she used to either in live performances. And it's usually only done to advance the song and not show off the piano part of it. I think the last time she really worked it out on the piano was the Marry The Night Performance at Alan Carr.
