The vocals in the Perfect Illusion bridge are exactly how she should have sung the chorus. Instead, she decided to strain her tonsils. Ugh, queen of testing me.
I kind of agree. Screechy vocals aside, Perfect Illusion is one of her best-produced songs ever.
I actually like the vocals lol. But her new pretentious voice sounds horrible on a lot of the other songs on Joanne. That + horrible lyrics + boring melodies + bad instrumentals = huge disappointment.
I do get very frustrated when I try to sing along Perfect Delusion though, like it's impossible to find a "key-match" or whatever you call the act of trying to sing in the same key or whatever.
