Britney was just awarded the Billboard Millenium award and delivered her best performance in years which was acclaimed by critics and is now getting ready to release the lead single of her ninth studio album to drop later this year. Ayu just released an album which has received a good reception within the fan base and is set to debut within the Top 3 and is now on a sold out arena tour. Kumi is busy on her highly successful first 47-prefecture tour of Japan with over 55 dates.

Meanwhile Utada released two songs that were so dreadful (despite her being a useless **** as usual for over 5 years) you are still ashamed to acknowledge them as lead singles. My faves are delivering consistently just like they have been for the past 16+ years without any breaks continuing to hone their craft.

Poor you and your lazy pathetic faves Utada and Ke$ha.

Eh..it's not like the media/radio worldwide respect Madonna at all (although her antics play a part in this as do some of Ayu's actions). However everyone knows how accomplished she is and her tours are always packed so it's not that different from Ayu's situation. At the end of the day Ayu is the most successful Asian solo artist of all-time and no one can take that away from her.

exactly what Britneyfan09 said. her concerts are just fine. I remember people were mad af in 2014 because she did that little showcase and didn't tour the whole country like always. they like seeing her every year.

and no, her case isn't a Piece of Me "tea". her concerts are being reinvented and getting better every year, she just keeps on improving. she only has a little segment where she puts evolution and SURREAL in a medley because well, every veteran has their classics.

as posted before her antics took part on this. japanese people don't like to know what's happening on their idol's lifes. they like to stan people so perfect they can't touch it or don't see as a ordinary people. and Ayu started sharing too much about her personal life and even got it mixed with her professional life and things only went downhill. also Bold & Delicious. iirc people didn't like that rich spoiled diva persona she took for herself after it and stopped relating to her.

To be fair Ayu's includes 18 fanclub tour dates in much smaller venues. Kuu is such a touring queen though.

Lowkey one of the reasons I DLed the album was because she was serving.

Lemme consider them for the second part of my eventual band rate (I haven't forgotten the first part btw, I wanna do it after the underrated flops one unless there's demand and I'll do that one first. I have both ready to go with tracklists etc)
