I understand. I feel the exact same way with most of my faves in terms of capability, you're lucky that Tinashe has stayed true to her talent whilst balancing commercial appeal. I wish my faves could reach their potential

I've only listened to Black Water but I actually thought the same thing a few days ago. Bet is the continuation and fulfillment of the questions and sounds she put forward in that mixtape. It took me a few listens but I love it now, definitely one of the best songs she's done. Leave it to Tinashe to not let anyone f*** with her artistry, I like how she said she went back and adjusted all the songs to her liking after they were made.
