We so rarely discuss Backstabber.

Backstabber is just so forgettable. I mean, a lot of us trash Dinosaur and Boots & Boys, but at least they're memorable. Backstabber is such mediocre filler.

I don't understand why people think Animal would have been a hit
I mean it would have went top 10, since K$ was on a roll and anything she released would have been a hit
But I just can't see it taking off big time

It's a great song and the best of her slower songs from Animal, and it has a good theme and "story" to it. I honestly could have seen it peaking in the top 5 with the right promotion.

Cannibal and Animal are typical album gems imo. Sadly, because Animal in particular is amazing.

And yes, Backstabber really is a filler. Still like it though, but nothing special.

idk if they did the right thing or not with Cannnibal. To me they gave us fans lovely songs, but to the top 10 charts, idk if anything would have worked

She couldn't release it as a single though. The Jeffrey Dahmer line and the whole theme in general were too much to expose it to the public. A lot of news sites and the media would have ripped her and she would have had to defend herself all the time.

At least that's what I expect would have happened, to more or less extent.

"Cannibal" and "The Harold Song" probably would have fared the best, I think. Despite the Dahmer reference that a few people made a big deal over, those two seem to be well recieved by the public.

Anyways, everyone is right in saying Backstabber is forgettable. I forgot it existed. Until today.
It's my least played Animal track (not counting Dirty Picture Part II ), which is funny because it isn't my least favorite.

Edit: Tik Tok is my least played Animal track.

I would have loved to have seen what the video would have been like if she had released The Harold Song and still wished they'd have released it and i dont care that much about the risk of it breaking her top 10 streak tbh.
