Teenage Dream didn't even cross 2M in sales yet, when it got it's 5th #1, the most #1's for an album in history.

Any album with 8 Top 5 hits, a movie behind it, and three years of promotion having 3M in sales isn't impressive. It's okay and that's it.

3M in sales in the U.S. IS impressive for a debut of 192k, get real.
And besides Katy isn't local like for example Drake so it's not that big of a deal when she can sell millions more outside one country. And that's it.

If someone sold 10K first week, then got 10 #1 hits following and did 1M total that isn't impressive just because they debuted with 10K. 10 #1 hits and 1 million isn't good. The same applies for 6 #1's / 8 Top 5's and 3M.

Just stop, it's dumb to say TD's sales are "not good". This isn't 2010 and it's the 13th best selling album this decade domestically.
Besides, Drake has 0 albums even close to three million and only one over two million. So...

And if Drake could do 2.3M with an album that had 2 Top 10s, then yeah, now 3M with 8 Top 10's looks even more bad indeed. TD's sales aren't great when the amount of hits, promotion, are factored and the amount her peers do with less hits and promotion is factored in. Sorrz.
