Gaga didn't really face backlash to the actual world during ARTPOP. ARTPOP was just a non-event. Applause and DWUW's audio was essentially the entire era. Neither were trashed. Born this Way was when she was trashed, ARTPOP people just didn't care. Like Kworb said a few days ago, you guys see these articles on here everyday and think it's what the real-world is seeing, when in reality, nobody in the actual world knows what the hell an ARTPOP, Angela Cheng, or 258K opening was/is.
But it's so dumb that the same gays try to argue she's a fad when she's performing at the OSCARs, being Billboard Woman of the Year, and has been in countless other relevant things this year. She's still known to the entertainment industry as a huge A-List name, and she's still getting mainstream attention. People have called her a fad so much it's genuinely stuck in their head and they can't help but to say it everyday, when it just shows they don't know what a fad is to begin with.
