It's not that unusual.
Try this (I used to do it, although I haven't for ages but I doubt things have changed too much):
Every day for a long time (i.e. a few months so you get the point), look at the top 1500 and ctrl+f artists like Jay-Z, Eminem, Kanye West, Drake, Lil Wayne, etc. Even try people like Wiz Khalifa, J Cole, A$AP Rocky, Kendrick Lamar, etc.
You will see lots and lots of their old singles appearing in the top 1500.
I used to do it for pop girls too, they don't do as well as the rappers though. It actually used to be just a top 1000, but around the same time that all of Gaga's songs finally dropped out the top 1000 they changed it to a top 1500, but a bit later she dropped out of that completely for the first time too! Then after that (like late 2012- early 2013 time) she'd often not be in the top 1500 at all, and when she was usually just 1 or 2 songs in the 1000 - 1500 region. Might have been a sign that the ARTPOP era wouldn't be as big as her fans hoped, because while pop girls don't usually have many songs in the top 1500, people like Rihanna and Beyonce would usually have more LOT more than her (even only including old songs).
Remembering this makes me want to start checking it again lol.
