My wig has been snatched by the roots. First of all that show was the fastest show I ever experienced. :weep: like as soon as Starlight was off the bitch came and sped through the set list. The pure adrenaline that I experienced during the show was just insane. All the energy that flowed through the arena was amazing. ArtRAVE has reminded me why I stan for Gaga. She is such an amazing performer and her words make me feel so safe and secure. Her voice was on point and so was the choreo. Honestly the YouTube videos do no justice to this tour. You have to see it live to experience it how it is meant to be experienced. I hate the bitch for cutting out MJH but I'll live. When she sang BTW on the piano and then proceeded to snatch ha wig off gave me chills or when she whacked that penis during Venus. The whole concert was amazing honestly. Like she is seriously such a Queen! I love Gaga so much and I don't care if she flops for the rest of her career I will love her forever.
Oh and I took my cousin with me and she said Gaga was badass. She didn't even know any of the ARTPOP songs but she was still Slayed.

Btw she didn't spill any tea in cheek to cheek. All she said was that she was releasing a jazz album with Tony Bennett and that she is really excited about it.

Last night was amazing. (Except for Lady Starlight.)

Crayon Pop was really cute. You have to hand it to them for really trying to communicate with the audience and having a fun energy to get the crowd moving.

Lady Starlight came out next, and gave a brief speech about being a real dj, using real instruments instead of pressing play on a laptop/iPad, before starting a monotonous Deep House set.
It was nice at first, but it got really boring, really fast.
If it wasn't for Gaga coming out soon after that, the energy Crayon Pop put into the audience would have been completely drained.

Gaga appeared (FINALLY), and the crowd went NUTS! I think she started with G.U.Y, I don't remember the beginning of her performance. (Literal blank)

Venus was fantastic.
Donatella was also fantastic.
Do What U Want was my favorite performance.
Sexxx Dreams was awesome, and the main screen above the stage showing "SEXXX DREAMS" and "XXX" was like AYEEEEEE
Bad Romance/Judas was energizing.
J&D intermission was A+
Swine REALLY got everyone going.
The entire (stadium? Arena?) was filled with applause during Applause.
She ended with Gypsy, which the crowd loved.

I was HOPING it wouldn't end after that!

Overall: artRAVE was an extremely entertaining show. The audience (seats), did not sit at ALL after gaga got on stage. You literally dance your problems and overall negative vibes away for a night. A therapeutic experience where Gaga encourages you to not give a **** what anyone else thinks and lose yourself to the music. You leave feeling refreshed after sweating out all that negativity.

A definite 9 out of 10.
Props to Crayon Pop, those girls really did try their best.
(Starlight was really boring as she never changed her beat.)

That was the great disappointment of Monday’s show. Gaga, once at the vanguard of high fashion, feminism and deliciously lowbrow electro-pop, seems to have thrown her lot in with a contemporary EDM culture that was already kind of a cliche on arrival.

To go from body-bending Alexander McQueen heels to an inflatable squid suit and fairy wings worn by seemingly every high schooler these days was sadder than Gaga’s pop-ancestor Madonna titling an album “MDNA.”

Gaga can, and has, done much better.

The Gaga musical backlash was a little unfair -- “Applause” and “Do What You Want” were both zesty singles, sexy and self-aware in equal measure. They were smart about being dumb, and sounded great on Monday.

But as early as 2011, there was a sense that Gaga was losing control of her narrative, and sadly this tour seems to have cemented it. Even if you could forgive the staging, very average tracks like “Venus” and “G.U.Y.” didn't lift off despite endless, joyless confetti blasts.

Where does Gaga go from here? Toward the end of her set, she ripped off one of her many ‘90s-cyberpunky wigs to reveal a pasted matte of black hair, and played “Born This Way” as a stark and lonely solo number. It was a reminder of the (now very lost) fact that Gaga is one of the few musicians at the top tiers of pop who has the performing chops to anchor a set by herself.

Maybe a reset is in order. Imagine three nights as Disney Hall, with just Gaga, a black dress and a baby grand.
That would be better art, and such a better night out, than whatever that mess of a rave was on Monday.

Lady Gaga proves that she’s the ultimate showgirl at MGM Grand

And like the trained showgirl she is, Gaga was the very center of attention during every moment of the first of two Las Vegas shows in her “ArtRave: The ArtPop Ball” tour Saturday night (Gaga returns to MGM Grand Garden on Friday, Aug. 1).

After a lukewarm reception to opener DJ Lady Starlight, who felt weirdly minimalist at her simple turntable compared to the classic excess fans expect from an L.G. show, Gaga entered the scene to an explosion of enthusiasm from the crowd, which ranged from brightly dressed 20-somethings in the standing section to middle-aged folks dancing in their seats in the concourse.

“Put your phones away,” she directed the Snapchat-eager crowd. “Let’s just be in the moment tonight.”

And most of the arena really was in the moment, drawn into dancing and singing along by a charisma few, if any, performers can rival.

She spent the rest of the night alternating between “ArtPop” tunes and her more popular material from past albums. One of the best moments of the night came when she did a piano rendition of “Born This Way” and reaffirmed what an incredible voice she has.

Either way, Lady Gaga is an incredible performer who performed a great show Saturday night, and she undeniably has one of the most dedicated fan bases in the business.
