there were several albums that i liked this year but none that i have played continuously since release other than Lemonade. i'm not even playing the new ones like Bruno's which i really liked or Alicia Keys which i nearly forgot about. its like I play them for a week & thats it. i havent heard Glory in months and i actually liked Knee's effort. i fit into the short attention span generation. but ahh my ****ing fave....literally making the album of the year.

How is K-Pop a genre entirely?

Not really. They have different aesthetics and different producers and aim to please a different audience which results in a different product. That's like saying arabic popular music is like American pop. Anyway, I have not dismissed K-pop (yet).

Many producers from outside of Korea have produced music for Korean acts– also, Korean charts have their fair share of R&B, Hip-hop, Dance and etc.
They don't just circle jerk to Korean Trot mixed with Bubblegum pop.
It's simply an ignorant assumption.
I have failed to find ONE kpop song that delivers genuine emotional depth. they all seem so superficial just like their skin and hair colors. nevertheless, if you're shallow minded enough i dont think it'd be a problem

Literally no one has said that they do that but you I'm sorry but implying music is influenced by the geographic location and surrounding culture is hardly a bold assumption. And you ignored the two points I made saying that 1. I don't undermine K-pop and I am willing to give it more chances, 2. I think my own culture makes terrible music.
