If you are banned it's only a month, so a member can make it to 2 years even with being banned. It's only a permanent ban that you aren't allowed back. That only happens if you are spammer, just a huge troll that never learns their lesson, or makes numerous duplicate accounts. You just gotta be smart with what you say or be slick with your shade.
