They should've went with four singles for Born This Way: Born This Way, The Edge of Glory, Yoü and I, and Scheiße. Even Marry The Night; the damn long ass outro ruined the song for me.

I personally don't mind the Million Reasons video (I'm fine with a simple video for a ballad), but here's how the videos should have been connected in my opinion:

MR starts with her getting up and going to get in her car to drive home or whatever. The car doesn't start so she just gets her guitar from the trunk or something and just walks on the side of the road (song starts at this point I guess). She hitch hikes and gets dropped off at like a bar or something and she sings it there but the bar only has a few people in it (nothing crazy). During the video there are scenes of her and her love interest during good and bad times in the relationship. Video ends with her finishing the song in the bar.

Next single would be John Wayne. Continues where MR left off at the bar. A cowboy-ish guy walks in and he and Gaga are interested in each other. She leaves the bar with him in his car or horse or whatever and basically the video is just them two doing things together (haven't really thought about what they'd be doing but like whatevs) Video ends with her waking up in a hotel bed the next morning alone.

Next is obvs Dancin' in Circles. Haven't really thought of a concept for this video so I'm just gonna make one up right now. Obviously she's not gonna make a video of her just masturbating.. Basically I guess after she wakes up after the guy from the last video leaves, she just goes back to sleep and dreams of like being on a beach/jungle type of setting and basically it's just a lot of dancing. Just had an idea just now of having her dress up as a guy and she's dancing with herself in the video but she already did Jo Calderone. idk what the concept of this video should be like. Anyways, it ends with her waking up again and she leaves the hotel.

I honestly don't know what I would end it with so I'm just gonna pick Grigio Girls. She calls her girlfriends for a ride and the video is just them hanging out and drinking and what not.

But If the next single is indeed Dancin' in Circles, the video could be her leaving the MR video set and driving to a country bar and there could be line dancing and mechanical bull riding.

It was just wrong timing. It killed her momentum on pop - it was a miracle pop played it in the first played. I guess that showed how powerful she was at that time, but there was no way she was going to have another radio hit after that.

Although it did help broaden her crossover appeal. Basically Y&I into Joanne era would have been perfect. Otherwise it just kind of messed things up for her

I feel like ya'll are straight up delulu when it comes to your opinions on what should have been and what shouldn't have been singles.

I think that all of her personal choices have been reasonable. Her label obviously has made some good decisions too, but they're also responsible for the flops; in almost all of those particular instances, they were clearly interested in riding hype and generating controversy instead of picking the real hits.

A-YO isn't my personal favorite or may be anyone else's, but you can't sit here and act like it isn't her most inoffensive and radio friendly song. It's literally Taylor Swift/Sara Bara-whatever you spell it.

And goodbye with the You And I hate. It made perfect sense to make it a single when it sold the most out of all the songs off Born this Way prior to release + at that point everyone was throwing away their LG stan card. Putting that song out was necessary.
