Why isn't the new iTunes update showing? Is it supposed to be 12.1.2 or is that the old version?

it wouldn't update through iTunes. I had to go to the update panel in the app store and update the whole OS X.

That's the "old/current" version, hon.
The update should be a 12.2
No sign of Windows updates, though.
