92.3 NOW: INTERVIEW
Host: We have the show-stopping, heart-racing and electrifying Céline Dion with us in the studio!
Céline: What up New York?!?!
Host: So Céline — congratulations on an incredible performance last night at Jingle Bell Ball! The crowd was going CRAY for you!
Céline: Thanks! I think it was probably the best show I’ve had in a really, really long time.
Host: Well you kicked some ass that’s for sure!
Céline: Haha, thank you!
Host: So tell me, how’s America working out for you so far?
Céline: Well I am just so overwhelmed right now. I just have NOT had the time for any breaks. I literally got like, six hours of sleep last night and I have a big performance tonight so rehearsals are going to be pretty intense today.
Host: That’s right! You’re gonna be on Jay Leno tonight where you will ALSO have a new Beats commercial.
Céline: Yes!
Host: Do you actually use Beats?
Céline: What kind of damn question?!?! Hell yeah!
Host: Just asking!
Céline: Ha! I mean that’s like asking a runner if they drink water or some shit… I don’t know — of course!
Host: So, the chart’s coming soon. How are you feeling going into this week?
Céline: Eight words — Lena. And. Eric. Saade. Blocking. Bitches. I’m ****ed!
Host: Damn girl, we be on Radio now!
Céline: Oops!
Host: Well no matter what happens at least you can say you hit #1.
Céline: Of course, I mean although an Urban #1 seems like nothing for other people I think it’s pretty cool. I mean it’s not the BIGGEST achievement out there but it’s definitely something to be happy about!
Host: What genre would you say “Ratchette’ is?
Céline: Well, like the rest of the album — a Pop-Urban crossover jam that’s just addictive. And even though “addictive” isn’t a genre or whatever, I still think it has its own style and sound and kind of vibe to it. I like to make lots of vibrant, message-y, very loud music, or noise as some critics would call it.
Host: Well let’s play some of that “noise” right now! See ya!
Céline: Thanks for having me, bye!
Host: Alright guys, keep it right here it’s commercial free hour kicking off with Céline Dion’s “Ratchette” on 92.3NOW!

JAY LENO: INTERVIEW + PERFORMANCE
Jay: Please welcome my next guest. She is a vocal goddess turned into a Pop-Urban fireball of controversy — it’s none other than Miss Céline Dion!
*Applause*
*Céline Walks In*
*Hugs + Kisses*
*Céline Is Seated*
Céline: It’s so good to be back in the States! What’s going on guys?
*Cheering*
Jay: So Céline, this is your first US TV appearance since forever — right?
Céline: Yeah and I’m just so ready to perform here, to meet fans — just to do everything promoting and fun-wise here and I couldn’t be more excited!
Jay: Well we’re so happy to have you here as a guest — thank you so much for stopping by!
Céline: Anytime!
Jay: So your new single, “Ratchette” — released earlier this year, but your entire project got pushed back and rebooted just last week. What was going on?
Céline: Well as you guys know, my boss is Georgie Skai, totally amazing by the way. And he took over management of the industry because it was falling apart, so pretty much all albums were put on hold and every single artist except for me was let go from the label due to that.
Jay: Why would he let them go?
Céline: It’s a success thing. Georgie just knew that he couldn’t give them 100%, and he was going to keep someone — and I’m so blessed he chose to keep me on Revolution Records because it is simply the best label I’ve ever had.
Jay: Aw, that’s so sweet!
*Cheering*
Jay: Well, that’s actually so crazy now — because apparently you just confirmed a bit ago that you ARE working with your ex-label mates Danity Kane and Krewella on a Remix EP for your new single.
Céline: Yes, I absolutely love them both. I had actually collaborated with Krewella on the album. They produced this AMAZING song called “Don’t Stoppe” which is this really vibrant, crazy EDM bop which is one of my favorites off the record. And Danity Kane, I’ve just always been a huge fan and a supporter. And it’s a shame both got let go, but when Georgie found out I wanted to do the Remix EP with them — he was CRAZY excited!
Jay: Any hard feelings with anyone.
Céline: No, no. In fact Georgie reunited with them at the studio when we were all recording and mixing and we just had the best time ever — it was so amazing.
Jay: And final question — because we should stop talking about others and get to just YOU now. Georgie is returning as an artist right?
Céline: Yes, he signed himself and he should be debuting pretty, pretty soon!
Jay: Have you heard any of the stuff yet?
Céline: Actually, nobody has! He’s keeping everything under lock and key and he promised he’ll share the record with us when it’s 100% finished but he said it was such a cool process and the music is sounding great!
Jay: Alright, we’ll be back with more Céline Dion after the break.
*Applause*
***BEATS COMMERCIAL IS PLAYED /// SEE NEXT POST***
Jay: We’re back with the legend Céline Dion!
*Applause*
Jay: So Céline — it looks live you’ve made a new friend! And her name might just be Neon Hitch!
Céline: *laughs* Yes, yes!
Jay: So the two of you have kinda been like, supporting each other and doing such nice things on Twitter — so you actually got to meet her?
Céline: Yeah, we both happened to be staying in the UK right after she came and a bit before I was about to leave so it was perfect timing to take the day off and just hangout and do whatever! Although we just met — it feels like we’ve known each other forever!
Jay: So what’s all this talk with Perez Hilton?
Céline: Well… see, the thing is…
*Laughter*
Céline:…Perez has kinda been a really big dick-**** to Neon and she doesn’t deserve any of it. I mean, I didn’t know who he was until like two days ago or whatever but yeah.
Jay: I actually just got told — we have the video! Roll it!
Céline: Oh ****!
*Clip Rolled*
*Laughter*
*Applause*
Céline: But we were drunk! *giggles*
*Laughter*
Jay: Isn’t that what they all say…
*Laughter*
Jay: Alrighty, after these messages - Céline will perform her new single, “Ratchette” so don’t go anywhere!
***BEATS COMMERCIAL IS PLAYED (again) /// SEE NEXT POST***
Jay: With the #1 Urban Hit “Ratchette” — Céline Dion!
Céline had a microphone stand in her hand as they played a live-band Pop version of “Ratchette”. Céline exuded of confidence, strutting a little bit with the stand and giving sassy hand motions. She remained classy and cool — performing with grey leather pants, a white shirt and a grey denim jacket. Céline slayed the scene, keeping everyone energetic by dancing solo a bit during the beats and jumping around to keep the energy up. This was the first performance in which Céline was smiling, being quite bubbly for most of the performance and still keeping her giggles off to the side to continue her streak of amazing “Ratchette” performances. She ended up back in her interview chair at the end of her song, with a cute leg-crossed pose. The crowd applauded her fantastic efforts and she went over to give Jay a big huge.
Jay: Alright folks, Céline Dion’s single “Ratchette” is out now + her album drops early next year — see ya next time!

CÉLINE’S US BEATS COMMERCIAL DEBUTS DURING JAY LENO
The brand-new Beats By Dr. Dre commercial, just for the United States aired during Jay Leno twice — giving the “Ratchette” promotion a very solid run tonight for the charts. For the commercial, Céline took to the streets of New York to keep it cool, keep it cute and never forget what ratchet you got in you. It went a bit like this.
*Céline rode her bicycle down the road, then abandoned it on the street. It was a cool afternoon in New York City, as “Ratchette” played. Lost in Times Square, Céline was looking puzzled through the crowd of people trying to find her way homes. Quick circles of angles for the sceneries were displayed with “Ratchette”, as someone grabs her name and takes her to the road back home. She begins lip-syncing the second half of the commercial, walking to Brooklyn. When she’s in Brooklyn, she gives the peace sign and does a little head-lift for a ‘hello’ to her crew all over town. The final shot of her is when she’s walking straight at the camera and winks to turn away. Right then, Beats are shown in a black room — all the color-drenched ones for SoloHD. The logo and brand name shows up, as Céline’s “Ratchette” comes to an epic, abrupt end*
The commercial + Jay Leno, along with the billboard promotion helped to boost Céline’s iTunes position to #3 tonight, moving up from #6 to #5 on the Worldwide Chart. Power rotation for the new, exclusive commercial is set to be in effect either tomorrow or on Friday. Céline also uploaded the commercial to her YouTube, giving off more exposure to the single and to Beats of course.

Selena Gomez On Watch What Happens Live
Selena Gomez stopped by WWHL with Andy Cohen for a quick, fun interview. While she spent most of the night downing Mojitos, they did play some fun games. One of the games they played was "How Much Would You Play?". Andy would hold up a picture of an album from one of her contemporaries, and she would write on a white board how much she'd pay for the specific album. So what did she pick? Justin Bieber's album would get 9$ from her, Taylor would get 11$, Eric Saade would get 16$ from her but perhaps it got interesting when it came to Neon Hitches album. Selena turned her white board over to reveal the words "4 cents". The crowed roared with laughter. "Really? Only 4 cents?" Andy said. "Is that what that says?" Selena said while trying not to laugh. "I thought it said 4 Dolla Dollas".

CÉLINE DION: MTV UNPLUGGED
Céline stopped by MTV Unplugged to give an acoustic performance of "Ratchette". She decided to choose the guitar/country-fied version of "Ratchette" since it would showcase her versatility a bit more to the public eye. Céline gave a little cute, but touch of heartfelt in her performance as well as the spice and flare to bring out her real ratchetness! At the end of her performance she said, "Thank you so much everyone, can't wait to see you guys soon!"

Justin's fragrance coming back.
Justin's successful fragrance, "The Key" is coming back to store for the Holiday season for a small and limited time. The fragrance will be for a low price, and it'll be selling at limited retailers. The fragrance was a huge success last year, and Justin Bieber even promised to launch another one. The fragrance was available at stores that sold fragrances, and Macy's -- it will be returning to Macy's for the Holidays.
Justin goes on The View
Justin sat down with the ladies over on the TV morning talk show -- "The View" to discuss things in general and have a freetime. They eventually did talk about his new album in stores, "Christmas Weekend" of course -- along with giving everyone in the audience a free copy of the album. The episode was just general talk, so they talked about general news events, people, etc. Justin and Whoopi mainly cracked many jokes, and shared lots of laughs. Justin said they were all funny, and it was definitely an experience doing the episode with them -- and he'd do it again at any time of course.

Justin's dedicated, "The Voice" episode airs.
Last week it was announced by NBC, that the TV Show they have -- "The Voice" would do an episode dedicated to Justin Bieber. This meant that the finalists still left on the season would all choose a song they'd want to perform by the singer Justin Bieber, then perform it, and be judged for the week. But that was not the end of it -- Justin Bieber himself sat down, and was a judge for the episode to critique the performances. Justin's surprise guest announcement shocked the finalists, but they were eager to prove to him how bad they wanted to win.
Justin judged the good, the bad, and the ugly -- but said overall it was a fun experience, and all of them had talent. He said his favorite performance was watching two girls perform "Trainwreck Paradise Island" and chose them as his favorites of the week. He also had a nice time messing around with the hosts on the show, and telling some jokes here and there.

CÉLINE DION: JINGLE BELL BALL #2 — MIAMI
One of Céline’s “secret” Jingle Bell Ball locations was NMiami this week. After days of so much events — landing in the US, a radio interview, premiering a lyric video, shooting an international music video + having a Jay Leno episode… she’s still keeping the promotion going and delivering for her fans! For her show, she played for 20+ minutes given the 25 minute-slot she had. She performed two of her songs, as well as three very eventful covers. Check it out!
“Ratchette”
“What the **** is good Miami? Are you ready… to #getturntup?!?! Hit that ****!”
*The instrumental began and Céline stepped out with a stage unveiled. There was a huge wall with Brooklyn graffiti on it, as Céline stood on the very top ledge with one dancer. There was one ladder on the front-right side of the wall, in which another dancer began popping on. Below, there were three more dancers. The theme for this performance was New York ghetto and mainstream — with all the dancers wearing different styled hoodies and leather jeans/leather pants with a bit of a sag. The crowd got turnt up and Céline began to sing*
*She performed choreography with the man on top of the wall first, pulling it off effortlessly while serving fantastic vocals. She made that **** work, looking as easy ****. The dancer on the ladder began to climb up, as the dancer on the wall went right behind her and held her hips tight. After some more moves, the stage floor dancers circled as Céline was thrown like a cheerleader, with the dancers making a successful catch. The ladder dancer went up as the two men started to dance Céline worked on the stage floor with the other three dancers, pulling off all-new amazing choreography*
*Barbara’s ad-libs played, and when a little line of the second verse was playback-ed Céline stuck up the finger. She kept on going and going, staying consistent throughout her performance and truly giving everyone real entertainment. She clapped her hands to the beat and the music broke down to a drum/cymbal mix-breakdown, which was a new portion of the performance. Rumors circulated that it could be a part of the Remix EP. The dancers all did their thing, as Céline took off her little sweater and revealed herself to be wearing a bra and black leggings — like Lady Gaga or 80s rocker style. She got a hoodie put on her to create some more camouflage of the theme and she pulled off the final moves and struck a pose*
“Turnt Up” (Miley Cyrus Cover)
“This next one — y’all know it and y’all have heard it already. Let’s do this **** Miley!”
*The instrumental began as Céline started to go into a slower, more sensual posture and began to sway her body. She held out each note for a second, really imitating the track of Miley Cyrus — but giving it a definite and new tone. The men brought her dollar bills where she threw them into the crowd. She was given a glass and made a “cheers” to the audience*
“Cheers to Jingle Bell Ball!”
*She drank it and popped it low for the chorus, performing very “Die Young” meets “Got Me Good” choreography, where she flipped her hair a bit when she swayed to a new direction. The mix of the lighting, the appropriateness (surprise!) and vocals was absolutely perfect — with the crowd highly captivated in silence with little cheers here and there as they could not take their eyes off of Céline. She kept moving around stage in a comfortable, low-key manner while singing the Urban Miley Cyrus album track*
“I gotcha like…”
*The performance finished with the song cutting off a bit early, but in a very faded, non-messy and organized manner. The crowd applauded as Céline was getting her next song prepared*
“Rumour Has It” (Adele Cover)
*As the dancers brought some things new to the stage, Céline took the opportunity to speak quite a bit about her album and her next song*
“I know you guys have been waiting a while, and things have been absolutely crazy — but that doesn’t mean I don’t love ya one bit. When this album comes — we’re gonna tear up all this **** that people are saying, throw it out the damn window and just, be, flawless. This is… Rumour Has It.”
*Céline strutted on stage as the musicians banged on drums and background singers did some head voice technique. Céline’s vocals were powerful, yet steady, simple and sweet — becoming very effective for this performance. She took a magazine, ripped it up. Got a phone, threw it at the wall of graffiti. Heard a whisper in her ear, stuck the finger up. Céline really loved to react to all the ruckus going around, in a very tasteful fashion though and she kept giving the fans on something they would love*
*As usual, everything was on point. She executed some contemporary choreography with some dancers, as they slowly slid their fingers up her body, with her hair flipping and her strutting like a queen. She threw the microphone up in the air to end her performance, giving the band some time to set-up in the front*
“Give You What You Like” (Avril Lavigne Cover)
*The band set up three stools, and one microphone stand. Two guitarists sat on the ends, with Céline sitting in the middle. Calm on her chair, in a soulful state of mind, she closed her eyes and opened them, moving her lips towards the mic*
“Well… since I didn’t feel like ****ing a Hello Kitty girl today, I decided to cover another really amazing Avril song. This is, Give You What You Like.”
*The guitars strummed lightly, as Céline kicked her stool to make some sort of reinforced tempo like a basic beat to add some depth to the musical aspect of the performance. She began to sing the lyrics, showcasing sensuality in her voice but raw emotion and depth. With the chorus, she hit high notes with a light, fading head voice blowing away the audience with the simplicity of the performance. She got through the entire song, without messing a note or missing a cue*
“Thank you.”
“My Heart Will Go On”
*Céline motioned her way with the microphone up the ladder of the wall in order to get to the top. She stood at the top, where the light only focused on herself and the graffiti wall*
“You guys know this… put your hands up and sing with me!”
*Céline started, as a live band played the song very well. Her vocals were quite magnificent, not disappointing compared to the original, 1900s voice she once held. Her vocals were amazing, as lights motioned all over the place for the first time of the night and Céline had slayed the song, with the crowd roaring for her and her show*
“I love you Miami! Stay turnt and unleash the inner ratchette in you! Bye!”
