If you read inside the lines then you read all the words I wrote. If you read "between the lines," which is what I think you meant, you'd have seen the sentence "People care, Remeese, but before you can ask others to care about you, you also have to show that you care about yourself."
It's very similar to the coming out process... before one comes out as gay, it's better that they accept themselves first before they ask others to do the same.
