I never really agreed with the SATs being the one lauded by all universities. The Ivy Leagues that I have looked into only require a certain SAT score (1600 range, I believe) rather than emphasizing the ACT. My teachers have always stressed that the key to "cracking" the SAT is knowing how to take the test, meaning, you continually study the same subject matter for months on end, rather than actually testing someone based on the experiences they have accumulated.
It just feels wrong to me, considering that more affluent families can afford to send their children off to SAT bootcamps over the more impoverished families.
