I wouldn't really say that tbh. Cheryl is also the one who has to be able to want and do everything to crack America. The whole XFactor thing was awful and I hated to see her going through that mess.
But yeah Cheryl has said a few times already that at a lot of solo career paths will.i.am had to push her. So I don't think there ever was a really big desire from her part to even crack the US. I mean she easily could have had whole EU and AUS in the palm of her hands aswell and not even much happened with that aswell.
I am not saying her team was flawless, they also lacked at points, But I guess Cheryl is in some way satisfied with how things go in her life and career. And I don't blame her.
I just hope her next era will be planned properly and full length (unlike AML sadly), I don't ask for 6 singles of an era, but 4 proper singles with proper musicvideos and decent to amazing promo shouldn't be a problem.
