well said, sychung4650. and Simona is still young, it's not like she's 86 years old and Slams are running out for her. she's improving constantly, she is incredibly focused on her game, all she has to do is stay healthy. she and Bouchard ARE the leaders of the new generation and frankly no newcomer is showing much. Azarenka has been injured the past few months, Halep hasn't met Serena since Cinci last year because Serena was well, flopping and the defeats against Sharapova were at least tight and on clay where Sharapova is now a GOAT. give Simona time before saying she won't do this and that. the moment she loses a match against Serena or Vika in the near future, then yeah, you might say she's not ready yet.

Serena beat Ivanovic in Rome this year 6-1 3-6 6-1. This was also the same tournament where Ivanovic destroyed Sharapova. With Ana it's never a matter of how well she is going to play but a matter of how bad Serena will play. That was the case in AO and was the case in the second set in Rome.
