One of the reasons it's so good is because it showcases everything that she's good at. The lyrics are good, but not aimlessly controversial (Judas) or repetitive (Marry The Night), the melody is extremely catchy, the vocals are great and it's works as a club-friendly dance track and a power-ballad. It's a perfect pop song.
My only nitpick being that the vocals in the first two choruses are a bit too quiet.

In no universe is this true.
Over time though it has grown on me sooo much and I have realised how stupid I was not to love it straight away. Its definitely one of my favourite Gaga songs ever now.
