I hate METHNEY for making every straight guy think that every popstar is a talentless lip-synching trainwreck. Gurney fans always talk about her "impact", well there's her impact. She gave every pop star a bad name.
It's not Gurney's fault Joanne is a flop and is seen as a joke to the GP. Blame her crazy outfits and crazy persona that made her famous in the first place.
I'm sure that Britney was "their entire childhood" and one can only be so smart as a toddler. By this logic, that would make them pretty damn stupid individuals.

Britney's career wouldn't be anywhere else than where it actually is. MTV made her a star. With MTV fading away, Britney started losing her relevance really fast.
But at least MTV allowed her to go out with a bang when they booked her to perform Gimme More when everybody already knew in what kind of mental state she was.
She should have evolved though.
