I actually think a lot of her fanbase growth has to do with GH..SF!. She sold 1 million copies of a hits compilation in the digital era. Which is ****ing incredible! I think a lot of younger people became fans after purchasing it. IMO, you can't spend money on a hits album (all of which were really solid, big hits) and not want to purchase their next album.

2010 was one of the best years to ever happen to her. It may not have shown in that year in particular, but what happened to her career because of the Grammy performance, the back to back hits of RYG & FP and her GHSF sales truly built up a fanbase.

She's also staying true to herself. Even in some of the moments where she's forced by her label to do commercial songs, she does them HER way. She compromised, and never once sold herself out for hits or did something she didn't like. People see that, and people respect that. People don't respect artists who flop and sell themselves out to get a hit or to get noticed. She also has an amazing team behind her that completely believe in her and everything she does.

Keep in mind, 31.77% doesn't always mean 31.77% of sales, it just means 31.77% of the retailers/outlets have reported their sales. So if the big retailers have already reported, the next few updates could be small, but if the small outlets have reported, then the next updates could be huge.
