I was banned during Wimbledon, so lemme post a few words about the tournament:

Men's final was pretty exciting, I'm glad Novak finally won a grand slam tournament after more than 12 months.

Congrats to Kvitova but I don't think she's going to rule the women's tennis. She may win 2-3 more Slams in the future, but she's too inconsistent to do it every year.

Serena is about to retire, it's sad bc last year was great for her.

Bouchard is too overrated, I'm glad she didn't win. Her attitude is tew much.

I don't think Halep is going to win US Open, maybe her peak times are over, who knows.

Sharapova and Halep are currently the best players in the world.

Simona has just won the first ever tournament held in Bucharest. 6-1 6-3 against a powerless Roberta Vinci.

Halep simply burst into tears at the end. the attendance at the tournament was amazing and everyone was incredibly supportive. this 8th win means the most to her. what's even better about this win it's that Simona was awfully tired yet she insisted to play this tournament, not a big one, for her fans at home.

8th title in 13 months, coming 185 points short of Li in the WTA rankings and 11 points away from Sharapova in the Road to Singapore race.

she could've went straight to a beach after her amazing season like most other players did, yet she wanted to play at home for her supporters. how can you blame her for that? it's just mean. she only won $40K, it's not like she did it for the money...

with Nadia Comaneci and Ilie Nastase. the crowd was great with Vinci, they cheered a lot for her as she did a great tournament.
