I've removed "You'll Never Be Alone" & "I Thought I Told You That". If you want your other requests on, you'll have to take plan F

Mesmerize, you can request 8 songs you know. They don't have to be your big favorites.

Replace them with Neva Get Enuf getting the two votes and Mesmerize getting one.

On The Bubble:

Close Calls:
Nelly "Air Force Ones" (25, 3)
Chevelle "Send The Pain Below" (20, 7)
Fabolous "This Is My Party" (34, 1@1)
Me:1/7.5 show. Here's the countdown.
25. Shania Twain "I'm Gonna Getcha Good" (37, 4@1)-2
1st song on DRL from her since 2000's "That Don't Impress Me Much" which hit #1 twice. She has spent a total of 17 days at #1 with all of her songs.
24. The Vines "Outtathaway" (34, 11)+1
This DRL Austrailian Artist Of The Year has gotten a lot of attention in 2002. Their upcoming 3rd single won't likely be on DRL. No #1's yet.
23. Coldplay "Clocks" (3, 23)+1
Coldplay has been a competitor on DRL for some time now. Will this finally be their time to shine by getting to #1?
22. Disturbed "Remember" (14, 3@1)-1
This was the final #1 debut of 2002 on DRL. Disturbed somehow spent their first 3 days on top and I haven't even seen the video.
21. Lil Romeo Featuring Solange Knowles "True Love" (19, 2)-3
Romeo's 2nd top 3 hit on DRL. Will this pass "My Baby" which spent 5 days at #2?
20. No Secrets "Here I Am" (5, 20)+2
They were huge in 2002. So far, they've spent 19 days at #1 with all 7 of their DRL hits including this one. Here I Am becomes their 7th top 20 DRL joint.
19. Field Mob "Sick Of Being Lonely" (10, 1@1)-2
A surprise entry to DRL. One half of the rap duo plays guitar in this video. I still think Naturi formerly of 3LW appears here. Watch this video and please tell me. Speaking of Naturi, the other members of 3LW are coming up on DRL. 1 day at #1 for this duo.
18. Ashanti "Call" (3, 18)+1
This just debuted recently and has made a small move. Baby is coming up later.
17. Amerie "Can't Let Go" (27, 6)-8 (Fall Of The Day)
What happened to this song? All of a sudden, it has sunk in power. Non-singles retire on DRL 15% of the time. Will this add to the 85%?
16. Jimmy Eat World "A Praise Chorus" (19, 1@1)+4
Their 3rd song to make DRL. The Middle is now their worst hit. Sweetness is their biggest hit with 50 days on and a day on top. Will this joint pass Sweetness?
15. Amerie "Talkin To Me" (178, 17@1)-4
Lowest showing since video came out. This song is only 23 days behind Ashanti's "Baby". Amerie has spent 22 days at #1 so far with only 2 videos.
14. DJ Encore Featuring Engelina "I See Right Through To You" (23, 1@1)+2
This song was first noticed in the spring of 2002. Look how far it has gone by spending the last 22 days in the top 20. 1 day at #1 for him & Engelina.
13. Michelle Branch "Here With Me" (15, 5)-8 (Fall Of The Day)
One minute, she's sitting pretty in the top 5 and the next, she's the fall of the day. This is her 6th appearance on the countdown and all 5 of her showings have retired. Combined, she has spent 29 days at #1 with all of her videos which barely passes "Case Of The Ex" by Mya.
12. Craig David "Hidden Agenda" (5, 12)+2
Another strong showing by the british star. He has only spent 1 day at #1 and that's for "Walking Away". Will he get to #1 again?
11. Avril Lavigne "I'm With You" (75, 4@1)+1
"Complicated" spent 34 days at #1 which is 8.5 times stronger than "I'm With You". She has spent 48 days at #1 with all 3 of her joints.
10. Ashanti "Baby" (201, 46@1)+
The most successful DRL joint of all-time. With all of her video appearances, she has spent 65 days at #1.
09. LL Cool J Featuring Amerie "Paradise" (41, 1@1)+6
A nice big jump for him. He has had 3 joints other than this to make it on. They are "Mama Said Knock You Out" (46, 1@1), "I Need Love" (57, 2@1), Luv U Better" (4, 28). He's spent 9 days at #1 overall.
08. Swiss Beatz "Bigger Business" (29, 5@1)
First video from him to make it on DRL. Known for his intense battle against Chevelle's "The Red" for #1. 5 days at #1 for him so far.
07. Christina Milian "Get Away" (92, 18@1)-4
24 days at #1 for her with all of her appearances on DRL. AM 2 PM is her only non #1 joint but that will most likely return.
06. Crazy Town "Drowning" (40, 2@1)+1
Their 2nd appearance on DRL has been great. With 3 days at #1 to their credit, they've shown some strong power. Will it make the Winter 2003 Wrap-Up?
05. Breaking Benjamin "Polyamorous" (8, 3)-1
With their video now on the Rock Countdown, they can't give in. Will they surpass #3?
04. Vivian Green "Emotional Rollercoaster" (3, 4)+9 (Jump Of The Day)
Is Vivian taking a page out of Heather Headley's playbook? Only time will tell. Vivian has shown how she will keep the R&B dynasty going. She's like the female version of Remy Shand.
03. 3LW Featuring Lil Wayne "Neva Get Enuf" (91, 9@1)-1
These girls have always been on DRL since January 2001 when they stopped Dream & Linkin Park from dominating with their debut singles. Adrienne & Kiely have spent 51 days at #1 while Naturi has spent 42 out of those 51 on top.
02. Jennifer Lopez Featuring LL Cool J "All I Have" (39, 5@1)+4
She got her first #1 8 months ago with her ballad "Alive". To date, she has spent 15 days at #1 with 3 from her remix album and 12 from her new album. This might get back to #1 tomorrow.
01. Ja Rule Featuring Ashanti "Mesmerize" (16, 7@1)+
Ja has spent 11 days at #1 with all of his videos. Ashanti has spent 65 days at #1. Together, they have spent 8 days at #1 with their collaborations.
Next Time:Max Kellerman, Woody Paige, Jay Mariotti, Bob Ryan, Tim Cowlishaw, T.J. Simers, J.A. Adande, Charlie Pierce & Jackie MacMullan will appear for a long discussion. BE WARNED:Max and the crew's discussion could entirely affect the countdown. We also get our Unknown Adventure friends to join the chat.
There is no clear winner for top spin count thanks to DRL's Around The Horn edition. Anyone can take #1.
If the crew doesn't make it, Ja Rule has the advantage but Vivian Green is on his toes along with Jennifer & LL Cool J.

Me:Shh...keep it down. Right now, we get involved with Around The Horn as they talk music but what Max & the crew don't know is that if they mention any of the DRL artists on the countdown, that will lead to where the artist and song will be today. Max, it's all yours.
Max:Ok, welcome to Around The Horn where we keep it cool. First topic:
*DRL*
Max:Now it's me and the panelists today are not the usual guests on my show. We couldn't get the main guests. Instead, we have this group called the Unknown Adventure crew and they take their places. Welcome.
Me:Max, I'm with them too.
Max:Oh. Anyway, let's talk DRL.
Abby:DRL is short for Dreamstar Request Live. At DRL, the countdown has been called the birthplace of uncommon songs by Eden's Crush, Tweet, Dream, Shakira & No Secrets...
*BZZT*
Me:That means No Secrets will be #25 with "Here I Am" slipping 5.
Abby:Sorry Mike.
Max:Uncommon songs? You mean non-singles right?
Abby:Yes. Amerie...
*BZZT*
Me:That means Amerie will be #24 with "Can't Let Go" slipping 6.
Abby:Slipped again.
Me:DRL has been a birthplace for new music like Remy Shand, Trik Turner, Abandoned Pools, Truth Hurts, Angie Martinez, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jimmy Eat World & Field Mob...
*BZZT*
Me:My bad, Jimmy Eat World drops to #23 with "Praise Chorus" & Field Mob drops to #22 with "Sick Of Being Lonely".
Max:Anyone else?
La La:Hip-hop music dominated DRL last year. Max, is that the case with your show?
Max:The pesky Woody Paige has dominated the first 2 episodes of 2003. Christina Aguilera....
*DING*
Me:A ding? I think that means something. Yes, Christina Aguilera returns at #21 with "Beautiful" knocking out Lil Romeo.
*BZZT*
Me:We're done here.
*BEEP*
Max:Next topic.
*End Of 2002 Countdown*
Max:According to DRL, Dream had the #1 song of 2002 and Ashanti had #2. What should've been higher and/or lower?
DJ Clue:Sugarcult should've been lower and my boy Fabolous should've been higher.
Abby:Christina Milian...
*DING*
Me:That means #20 is...
Abby:AM To PM
Me:...AM To PM by Christina Milian up 5.
Abby:Anyway, she should've been higher with AM 2 PM and my boys of Audioslave & Queens Of The Stone Age should be higher.
Me:Abby, my countdown is based on popularity and spins. Audioslave hasn't been popular because of Rage's beef with DRL.
Abby:I understand that.
Me:I wanted Ashanti and all of her songs to be higher. I also wanted Eminem to be lower with "Without Me" but it retired so it had to be in the top 100. I regret ever liking that song in the first place.
Max:I see. It's also hard to imagine that Coldplay...
*DING*
Me:Coldplay ups 3 to #19.
Max:Unfortunately, that's the end of our discussion. I've been Max Kellerman and this was Around The Horn.
*BZZT*
Me:In case you're just joining us, here's the countdown so far.
25. No Secrets "Here I Am" (7, 20)-5
24. Amerie "Can't Let Go" (29, 6)-6
23. Jimmy Eat World "Praise Chorus" (21, 1@1)-6
22. Field Mob "Sick Of Being Lonely" (12, 1@1)-3
21. Christina Aguilera "Beautiful" (34, 11)RETURN
20. Christina Milian "AM 2 PM" (38, 2)+5
19. Coldplay "Clocks" (5, 19)+3
Me:Time for something from Dana Glover. She debuts at #18 ebbing out Shania Twain.
18. Dana Glover "Thinking Over" (1, 18)HOT SHOT DEBUT
17. Amerie "Talkin To Me" (180, 17@1)-1
16. DJ Encore/Engelina "I See Right Through To You" (25, 1@1)-1
15. Michelle Branch "Here With Me" (17, 5)-1
14. Avril Lavigne "I'm With You" (77, 4@1)-2
Me:One of the toughest jams of the new year is the singer of Murder Incorporated. Call drops in at #13.
13. Ashanti "Call" (5, 13)+
12. Craig David "Hidden Agenda" (7, 11)-1
11. Swiss Beatz "Bigger Business" (31, 5@1)-1
10. 3LW "Neva Get Enuf" (93, 9@1)-2
09. Christina Milian "Get Away" (94, 18@1)-
08. Ashanti "Baby" (203, 46@1)-1
Me:The Vines take a 14 spot jump. Here's Outtathaway up 14 to #7.
07. The Vines "Outtathaway" (36, 7)+14
06. LL Cool J/Amerie "Paradise" (43, 1@1)+
05. Breaking Benjamin "Polyamorous" (10, 3)-1
04. Jennifer Lopez/LL Cool J "All I Have" (41, 5@1)-1
03. Crazy Town "Drowning" (42, 2@1)+2
Me:We have a huge battle for #1. It's newcomer Vivian Green v.s. veterans Ja Rule & Ashanti. It seems that the up and coming soul star has conquered the top. Mesmerize by Ja Rule & Ashanti drops 1 to #2.
02. Ja Rule Featuring Ashanti "Mesmerize" (18, 8@1)-1
01. Vivian Green "Emotional Rollercoaster" (5, 1@1)+1
Me:Next time, Vivian Green performs her hit "Emotional Rollercoaster". Ashanti is in the house as she will serve as our resident mermaid for the day because we are in "Play The Role Of The Mermaid" week on DRL now. Don't worry, she's not a real mermaid. Will Vivian's performance stop Ja Rule again or will she be mesmerized by Murder Inc. Crazy Town is on the rise and so are The Vines and newcomer Dana Glover.

Ashanti:Let's see, The Vines somehow managed to take #1 for the first time ever but will the reign last? Find out soon. Vivian Green is here to perform her song "Emotional Rollercoaster" and I continue to look like a freak.
Me:The countdown is kicked off with Shania Twain who strikes back at Jimmy Eat World returning at #25.
25. Shania Twain "I'm Gonna Getcha Good" (39, 4@1)RETURN
24. Eden's Crush "Let Me Know" (28, 2)RETURN
Me:That was Eden's Crush returning at #24 with Let Me Know. At #23 is Mariah Carey with "Boy" finally debuting.
23. Mariah Carey "Boy" (1, 23)HOT SHOT DEBUT
22. Christina Aguilera "Beautiful" (36, 11)-1
21. DJ Encore/Engelina "I See Right Through To You" (27, 1@1)-1
Ashanti:I HATE THIS MERMAID LOOK! That was DJ Encore at #21 & Christina Aguilera at #22 each dropping 1. Back to you and please don't embarass me.
Me:At #20 is a song looking to be their breakout hit but the past 2 episodes have been harsh to this band. Down 7 spots is Breaking Benjamin. The good news is that they aren't the fall of the day.
20. Breaking Benjamin "Polyamorous" (12, 3)-7
19. Michelle Branch "Here With Me" (19, 5)+
18. Avril Lavigne "I'm With You" (79, 4@1)-
Ashanti:Ok, that was Michelle Branch at #19 and Avril Lavigne at #18. Michelle gains airplay while Avril loses a few.
Me:Time for our billboard segment. Filling in for Jen Harrison this week is her sister Stephanie Harrison. Take it.
*BILLBOARD SEGMENT*
Stephanie:Hi! I'm Stephanie Harrison filling in for Jen and this is billboard. The 8 Mile soundtrack retains #1 for a fourth week now. According to HITS, Norah Jones is #1. IMO, Norah Jones is the 2002 artist of the year. I like Norah more than Ashanti, Avril & Amerie combined. On the hot 100, my boy Eminem is #1 for an 11th week. My girl Norah is near the top 50 and my boys of Chevelle are hanging at #60 with The Red. The one artist I can't stand is #4 this week up 1 spot passing my boy Jay-Z. I talked to La La the other day and she said that Jay-Z needs to get a #1 single from The Blueprint 2. Elsewhere, Foo Fighters are the kings of Rock on Billboard while Erykah rules the r&b chart. I'm Stephanie signing off.
*BILLBOARD SEGMENT*
Me:#17 is from the rookie Dana Glover who was on pace to dominate but she slips 2.
17. Dana Glover "Thinking Over" (3, 15)-2
16. Christina Milian "AM 2 PM" (40, 2)+1
15. Coldplay "Clocks" (7, 15)+1
Ashanti:The mermaid in me is taking over! I had a feeling someone would rig this mermaid costume...
Me:?
Ashanti:Anyway, those were Christina Milian & Coldplay inching up 1 each. Coldplay moves to a peak of #15.
Me:Taking in #14 is from 2002's rookie group of the year. No Secrets take a big 8 steps forward but like Breaking Benjamin's fall, "Here I Am" isn't the jump of the day.
14. No Secrets "Here I Am" (9, 14)+8
13. Crazy Town "Drowning" (44, 2@1)-9
Me:Whoa! Crazy Town drops from #4 to #13 with "Drowning" taking the fall of the day. Downward to #12 is Christina Milian.
12. Christina Milian "Get Away" (96, 18@1)-3
11. Swiss Beatz "Bigger Business" (33, 5@1)+1
10. Ashanti "Call" (7, 10)+1
Ashanti:Ok, Swiss Beatz & my joint "Call" inch 1 spot ahead while I continue to witness the consequences of mermaid week on DRL.
Me:?
Ashanti:Live performers on DRL haven't gained ground lately but Vivian Green wants to change the pace. We'll see if that happens. #9 today is a hot one from 3LW.
9. 3LW "Neva Get Enuf" (95, 9@1)-4
8. Craig David "Hidden Agenda" (9, 8)+2
Me:Craig David two-steps two to #8. Vivian Green will come out after #5. Right now, it's #7.
7. LL Cool J/Amerie "Paradise" (45, 1@1)+
Me:That was rap legend LL Cool J with the 2nd joint from his 10th album "10" called Paradise. The joint is also one of our "2003 Songs To Watch".
Ashanti:At #6 is myself with "Baby".
6. Ashanti "Baby" (205, 46@1)+2
5. Jennifer Lopez/LL Cool J "All I Have" (43, 5@1)+1
Me:That was Jennifer Lopez inching 1 to #5 with no bullet. Here's Vivian Green.
*plays Emotional Rollercoaster*
Me:Hello Vivian.
Vivian(in sexy voice):Hi.
Me:Your song is doing very well on DRL right now.
Vivian(in sexy voice):I noticed hunk.
Me:???
Ashanti:What are you doing to him Vivian?
Vivian(in sexy voice):He's such a handsome hunk.
Ashanti:Vivian, he's no hunk so trust me.
Vivian(in sexy voice):No way. I'll get you then.
*knock*
Silica:What's going on here?
Vivian(in sexy voice):Another vixen. She's mine!
Silica:Go perform right now. You're on!
Vivian(in sexy voice):Oh? *checks watch*. Oh no! I forgot.
Me:Silica? What are you doing?
Silica:Just doing my job.
Me:Ok...
Ashanti:My back feels itchy.
*Silica chants spell*
Silica:Elfist-Alany-El-Norah
Me:What?
Ashanti:I'm back to my old self. I can remove this ridculous costume.
Silica:Don't let it get to your head. I heard Slipknot24 is back and is looking for you.
Me:Oh no! Why him?
Silica:Trust me, I had nothing to do with it. I was trying to stop him since he bossed me around when I was a kid.
Ashanti:How old are you?
Silica:19.
Me:Anyway, we have to hurry the show. Thanks for helping.
Silica:Don't mention it.
*break*
Me:Here's Vivian Green performing Emotional Rollercoaster at #4 down a spot.
4. Vivian Green "Emotional Rollercoaster" (7, 1@1)-1
3. Amerie "Talkin To Me" (182, 17@1)+11
Ashanti:That was Amerie up 11 spots to the 3rd position today gaining the jump of the day. It seems that the aussies are hanging on. Down 1 to #2 is Ja Rule & myself with "Mesmerize".
2. Ja Rule Featuring Ashanti "Mesmerize" (20, 9@1)-1
1. The Vines "Outtathaway" (38, 2@1)+
Me:That was The Vines somehow retaining #1 for a 2nd day. Time to bring you the best of September 2002.
