Hunger Games was great but not amazing.
The movie was too long and the action sences were little and could have been better.
I was expecting something amazing, def' too much loose ends and with that hour of nothing but talking you'd imagine they'd cover more info and background instead of getting into small things like trainings.
Suprising Mirror Mirror just cracked the chart, It was up here before Hunger Games.

'American Reunion,' 'Titanic 3D' Challenge 'Hunger Games'
Quote:
If you make it to the movies over Easter Weekend, don't be too confused if it feels like you've been teleported back to the late 1990s. American Reunion, the fourth installment in the American Pie series (which started in 1999), is debuting at 3,192 locations, while the 3D re-release of James Cameron's blockbuster Titanic sets sail at 2,674 venues (the exact same number of theaters the movie originally opened at in December 1997). Even with these two strong entries, though, The Hunger Games has a legitimate shot at making it three-in-a-row at the top of the box office this weekend.
With over $650 million combined worldwide, the first three American Pie movies made up one of the most successful comedy series in history. Each of the movies earned over $100 million domestically, and the last two both opened north of $30 million. It has been nearly eight years since American Wedding, though, and the direct-to-video sequels haven't done a whole lot to solidify the brand over that time period.
Spy Kids: All the Time in the World and Scream 4 both tried to revive long-dormant franchises last year, and both were very unsuccessful. Those movies put the focus on new cast members, though, while American Reunion's marketing clearly emphasizes that the whole gang is back from the original movies (including those that sat out American Wedding). A high school reunion is also a logical next step for the characters, and previews indicate that even though the characters have gotten older, there are still plenty of opportunities for mischief. Because of the competitive environment, Universal is conservatively estimating an opening over $20 million, though something closer to $30 million wouldn't be surprising.

Weekend Forecast (April 6-8)
1. American Reunion - $29.5 million
2. The Hunger Games - $28.9 million (-51%)
3. Titanic 3D - $21.9 million ($29.1 million 5-day)
4. Wrath of the Titans - $13.1 million (-60%)
5. Mirror Mirror - $11.8 million (-35%)
American Pie still go it!

30 million is good for American Pie but reviews aren't that good so I don't know if it'll cross 100 million domestically like the first 3 did.
Hopefully with Easter and everything it goes higher.

So Titanic 3D is going to do less in 5 days than Lion King 3D made in 3 days. This is with way more hype and promotion for Titanic 3D. Shocking.

I hope everyone in here who is complaining about things in The Hunger Games read the books.
Annoys me when people complain about the plot/scenes without reading. Chhh.
I liked Wrath Of The Titans, I'm oddly surprised it didn't make #1, I didn't know THG still had so much power still.

Friday Report: 'Hunger Games' Holds Off 'American Reunion,' 'Titanic 3D'
Quote:
American Reunion had a fine opening on Friday, though it didn't compare favorably with past entries in the series, and Titanic 3D continued to draw solid crowds following its Wednesday debut. Still, neither of those titles came very close to knocking off The Hunger Games, which had little difficulty hanging on to first place for the third Friday in a row.
The Hunger Games fell a light 31 percent to an estimated $12.9 million on Friday. That's over twice as much as the third Fridays for any of the Twilight movies, and is almost double that of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. The movie has now made $282.2 million, and will wind up in first place for the weekend with around $30 million (it will almost certainly pass $300 million on either Sunday on Monday).
American Reunion took second place on Friday with an estimated $9.2 million. That's notably lower than American Pie 2 ($16.5 million) and American Wedding ($12.2 million), and is even a bit off from the first American Pie when adjusting for ticket price inflation. Still, it's on pace to finish the weekend with roughly $22 million, which isn't all that bad for a long-dormant comedy franchise.
After earning $8.4 million from mid-week showings, Titanic 3D added $7.14 million on Friday for a three-day total of $15.5 million. The Friday gross is less than that of the 3D re-releases for The Lion King ($8.9 million) and Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace ($8.6 million), though those movies were both much shorter and hadn't burned off any demand with a Wednesday release. Assuming attendance will take a serious hit on Easter Sunday, Titanic could end up with a five-day opening of around $25 million.
Wrath of the Titans fell 56 percent to an estimated $5.43 million. In comparison, Clash of the Titans lost 68 percent of its audience on its second Friday, though that's not an apples-to-apples comparison given the placement of Good Friday (it fell on Clash's opening day, but Wrath's second Friday). Regardless, Wrath has only earned $49.3 million through eight days, which is nowhere close to Clash's $91.9 million.
Mirror Mirror rounded out the Top Five with an estimated $4.6 million, which is off a tiny 21 percent from last Friday. The Snow White flick has now earned $30.05 million.
21 Jump Street also had a phenomenal hold—the Jonah Hill-Channing Tatum buddy cop comedy dipped 21 percent to an estimated $3.63 million. In the process, it passed $100 million, and it is still tracking ahead of Superbad through the same point.
Thanks to kids being out of school on Friday, Dr. Seuss' The Lorax actually improved 11 percent to an estimated $2.3 million. That brings its total to $195.5 million, and it should hit the $200 million mark by Monday or Tuesday.
