That's because publicists make it clear what topics they can't ask, and which topics to focus on. Of course it's up to the interviewer if they want to respect that or not. Most professionals like ellen do. Which brings me to my next comment....

Most international countries don't really care about respecting publicist "rules". Some are more fearless, and there's a different standard there too. Just a cultural thing.

Have you ever looked at the mentions for a famous person? The amount that they get is out of CONTROL and can often move at a very fast pace. You could do exactly what you said.... get 300 people tweeting her for you, and it can mean nothing. That's because really, it's about timing. You never know when she is looking at her mentions. If she doesn't check twitter all day, and 300 people tweet her that it's your birthday well... she won't see it! She can go on the day after your birthday and have no idea it happened she'll just see the most recent mentions. Also if you try and tweet her when you KNOW she's online (ie. you see she tweeted 1minute ago), this is also not good because that's when EVERYONE goes crazy and tweets her at a crazy pace and her mentions fill up SO fast.
This is why I just don't even bother... it's like playing the lottery. And I feel stupid talking to her when I know there's a 99.9% chance I won't get a reply. It's like willingly talking to a wall. I do tweet ABOUT her though and mention her in my tweets. But that's different than talking TO her as if I'll get a reply when I know I won't.

I mean this in the nicest way possible but doesn't she not run her twitter? Like her publicity team is behind it for the most part? Also she's following like.... a **** ton of people right? If it is her. I don't know. But it's nice that she does that for her fans/her team does that for her fans. I know I'm being negative right now but I'm trying to be nice and I"m just bad at words right now lol I'm tired ;_; still cool to be able to say Britney is following you. Yeah I remember one interview about Elixir and the interviewer kept saying "Clea" like "clee-uh" and then Hilary was like "Actually it's Clea" like "clay-uh". Which sounds like Leah, and I knew at that moment it was a shout out to her lol.

and it seems that most interviews flow in a way that cover all main topics of personal life and career. Depends on what she's got going on too. It's always nice to hear some new career news though which I know we're all crossing our fingers for this Friday. I also really wanna see loooooooooka.
