There were hardly just Madonna stans doing that, though. I remember the day she cancelled the BTWB and everyone was talking about how she would never walk again and photoshopping pictures of her head on gifs of people in wheelchairs getting pushed down steps and such. A few of those were funny, but still.
Listening to the Lorde album. It's a little less boring than I expected, but I'm still getting drowsy listening to it. "Royals" is the worst song so far into my listen, tho "400 Lux" comes close.
