I kinda agree tbh, the only 2.0 who was better than the original was Super Bass 2.0 -- Va Va Slay a.k.a. the defining pop song of our generation (along with WFL).

But I really want a M4L 2.0 for the winter, in terms of quality & success.

If PnP was an actual love song, I'd agree but it's Freedom with a better chorus & bridge. It doesn't give me the same vibe as RTM or YL.

I'd love a M4L 2.0 if it can be just as or even greater than M4L, but not if it's going to fall short. With Nicki sometimes it's a hit or miss.

The subject matter doesn't even correlate with one another. One song is about being with a hood *****, while the other is about a day & the life in the hood. Similarities exist, but I still don't see it as a part 2.

No. Because they're Hip-Hop/R&B songs with long Rap verses that have great flow and tell a story. The chorus is sung and the second verse features a male rapper (from Young Money). The production is also quite similar (same producer). I can't really explain it in words, but it should be pretty clear when you listen to both songs.

Making anything more similar to Moment 4 Life would be repeating yourself IMO.

Oh, I see what you're saying. So what you're saying is the song's structure is similar, which makes it appear as a part 2. But M4L was an anthem, an uplifting song about life & feeling good about your situation. Despite the structure set up of the song, I just don't see how M4L & HS correlates. I think it's a huge reach to say that much.

I don't generally like part 2's or 2.0's either, to be honest. I mean just look at Fire Burns.

I'm so proud how Nicki is about to get her third successful mainstream era. IMO that's already a huge accomplishment. She came so far.

VVV's verses are more poppy than SB's, so that's not a fair comparison tbh.
As for the video, I think we can all agree on that one
As for the others it's up to personal opinion.
Imo:
SB's bridge (by a tiny bit)< VVV's
SB's hook <<< VVV's
SB's hook is more infectious but VVV's is better.

I don't want to sound like a pessimist but I didn't think this era would be as huge as the previous ones. I was expecting album sales slightly better than PF:RR's but only moderate hits. So glad to be proven wrong.
