Similar to how longevity is rated. If the success is spread over time then that makes it more impressive.

To have such worldwide appeal and still fail to outsell a 'local' artist is more embarrassing though, right? I just don't see the drag or fun in general in making fun of the sales per country when she's outselling artists with wider appeal. And it makes it worse if she's doing it without "global" hits as well
local or not she's still doing better than the "global" girls at the moment
