I just noticed that this and this were closed. The former had been opened and actively posted in for three days, the latter for over half a day.

What I'm confused about is why they were closed so long after they were posted and why they were closed to begin with, because I don't see anything in the OP of either of them that would justify closing them.
I would understand if the reason was because nobody reported them, so it takes longer fort mods to see them and close them, but both of them had posts by mods hours/days before closing them.

Usually it's when a post from it is reported late and we notice the thread has become a mess, so then we close it to make sure it doesn't get bumped again.

Glad to see the moderators cleaning up the more relentlessly messy members. If registrations aren't going to be opened then the community that currently exists needs to be cleaned up. Perma-ing the faults in the comminity (who are good at dodging regular WPs and bans) seems to be the way.
