MDNA & Born To Die >>>>> my favorites of 2012 so far.
I really think people aren't giving MDNA enough of a chance. This album is wild. I pretty much wrote it off the first 2 weeks or so I had it because it just seemed all over the place, the hooks weren't that catchy, I didn't really 'get it'. However, since then this album has grown on me like a wildfire. Sure, it may have taken a bit, but MDNA is sooo rewarding on repeated listens. It has songs for every mood - angry, happy, sad, bitchy, euphoric, introspective, shallow - yet fused with tons of energy. It's experimental and it's very fun. It's now my 2nd or 3rd favorite Madonna album behind 'Ray of Light' and maybe 'Erotica' (which it's pretty much tied with).
Shockingly enough, out of all the songs that have grown on me, Superstar's probably grown the most. It's so warm and inviting. Can't wait to see M on tour this fall.
Does anyone else really wanna hear the ballad Bang Bang?
According to William Orbit in the EPK, they had pretty much finished 'a song called Bang Bang' before the creation of Gang Bang.
