American Horror Story is fun trash with occasional dashes of brilliance. Prolific reviewers would never do something that low-brow that would tarnish their image (it's the same reason soap operas and melodramas don't review well). But the acting is almost consistently great and Murphy tries some pretty bold things that make it worth watching. Sometimes they come together (Asylum, Murder House) or sometimes they fall apart (Coven, Freak Show).

I think I'm going to watch this. I've only watched the first episode of the first season but I did some reading on this season of the show and I am really excited especially with the inspiration coming from actual events and places.
Imagine the meltdowns, praising, blinded monsters, delusional monsters, over positive monsters, haters, katycats, madders, chanel and gaga herself in this thread this time tomorrow
