Wow... This base randomly got super quiet. Like, the past two days have been really weird. Typically I'm used to logging on and checking the base and finding like, 10 unread pagesof nonsensical conversations, and we've been on page 709 for like, two days now. Are you guys finally starting to die from thirst? Let me call Adele and tell her to drop this album to end the drought.
Yes I truly try to listen to Let Go though and its a straight up struggle
Same for me and Avril Lavigne. Let Go just kinda holds special memories to me, and I think it is definitely her most iconic era. The Best Damn Thing is a very close second to me, though
Well... "Hello Kitty" is her new single in Asia. The rest of the world is getting "Give You What You Like", but she hasn't confirmed when it will be released. And knowing her record label, they are going to let it flop like they have everything else so far this era, which is a shame. And Let Go is an amazing album but I can't listen to all of it. It's my least favorite album from her and I only love a few of the songs from it, and most of them were the singles.

I feel bad for those Asian countries...
I do like the singles best off of Let Go, but I do think those singles are some of her most memorable songs of all. Her image and style in general were the most "in" at that time in her career. Putting personal connections aside, TBDT is probably the more coherent album of the two that I mentioned previously, though, and it has some of her other biggest songs as well.
Your basic ass better stan for the one and only queen!!!
Don't worry, I am!

Hello Kitty is part of the plan, expose ha back to the GP and then smash with her song that they can enjoy more

Yeah, I know.... I like "Hello Kitty", it's not bad, but lyrically it is honestly the dumbest song ever. And then she hyped up the video for it and everyone knew it was going to be weird, but no one knew it was going to be that weird. Like, there was no point to it. Hello Kitty wasn't even in the video at all, and she kind of hinted that Hello Kitty would be (as it should be, I mean the whole inspiration for the song supposedly came from Hello Kitty). It was just a mess.
As for Let Go, I agree. I think people saw her as... I don't want to say she was a trendsetter at the time, but she was doing something that was culturally accepted at the time and the music was something that was radio-friendly at the time. The songs were great and the first three singles ("Complicated", "Sk8er Boi", and "I'm With You") were smashes. And then for The Best Damn Thing, I think she kind of upped the pop-rock image because at the time, the way she upped it, it was still "in". Thanks to artists like P!nk and Kelly Clarkson, pop-rock was popular at the time and Avril combined that with a really catchy anthem that people could dance to and relate to, and therefore "Girlfriend" was a huge success. It's a shame that aside from a few songs ("When You're Gone", "What the Hell", and "Here's to Never Growing Up", which still weren't as big as songs like "Girlfriend", "My Happy Ending", "Sk8er Boi", "Complicated", and "I'm With You"), she hasn't had another big hit. Radio just doesn't seem to be here for her, and combined with the fact that her record label is AWFUL, she is destined for failure. If they would have bothered to promote "Here's to Never Growing Up", it would have smashed because that was the type of song that was radio-friendly when it was released. They let it flop, though. It only peaked at #20, which is great for her (that's really sad overall, though). And I was disappointed that the singles from Goodbye Lullaby were all amazing but weren't incredibly radio-friendly at the time. The quality of the music has always been there with her, but it's hit or miss with the single choices. She picks songs like "Rock N Roll", which would've smashed had it been released like, 4 or 5 years ago. I just hope she can have another smash because I love her and it seems like artists like that deserve to have more success than some of these other generic artists on the radio right now.

All of this tbh I liked "Keep Holding On" as well from TBDT.
