At least if she hadn't said that, I could justify this era as her doing whatever the **** she wants, irrespective of what anyone wants or expect, fans included.
Her fans don't want her to patronize them by telling them it's ok that they were born a certain way.
Her fans could give two ***** about Judas.
Her fans don't want her to look ugly, to have spikes, to be in B&W all the time.
Her fans want to have fun and dance to great dance songs, videos and performances. They don't want a preachy self-help religious lesson told by a witch in spikes.

I know this was ages ago, but I'd like to respond to this. I am honestly disappointed with this post, Nicole.
Ok, I don't want to be patronised, but I don't mind her telling me it is ok to be born a certain way. This year I came to accept the type of person that I am, and I thank Hair for that.
I
love Judas. I prefer it to Bad Romance. I think it is one of her best songs.
I agree with the third point; I don't want her to look ugly. But she doesn't look constantly ugly. She has looked flawless at various times this era.
I want to have fun and dance to great songs. With BTW, I have that. I don't care if I'm dancing to Poker Face or Born This Way; both are great. What is different is the rest of the songs. The album tracks this era are hugely superior to those on TF.
Your opinion has always been one that I have been interested to know, Nicole. One in which I have always been interested. And usually it is well thought-out and intelligent. But this statement hugely generalises the wishes of Gaga's fans. I want what she has given us. True, the era has been messy and rushed, but the music has been brilliant. People have always glorified TF as an era and talked about how flawless it has been. But it was not without its mistakes. Gaga did not go uncriticised. It is just unfortunate that people forget that and discuss TF as if it was one of the most perfect eras in the history of music.
