I seriously don't wanna do my work, but then again, I hate nagging teachers so I might as well do it

This is REALLY off topic, but this Patriot movie.

That's some bull. What work ethic? I'll be doing that **** on ****ing Tuesday in Study Hall, right before Latin Class. There's absolutely ZERO benefit, direct or indirect, of copying a billion useless definitions TWICE from a damn book. The only reason we're doing this is because my teacher decided to take a week off to go to Scotland, and he doesn't know what good busy work is.

Actually that's the reason why it'll help, busy work.
Busy work is actually pretty helpful because it'll keep your mind fresh for more work once your teacher comes back. So it indirectly helps you learn

I can't at you two.
There is absolutely nothing beneficial about busy work. All it does is make you missed at the teacher who assigned it.
That's like me giving you a Hebrew dictionary, and telling you to copy the first 5 pages of definitions twice. Are you learning any more Hebrew than you did before the assignment? Hell to the **** no. And I bet by the time you hit the end of Page 2, your penmanship will be a hot ass mess, and by the end of the 5 pages, it'll be virtually unreadable because you're so ****ing over it.
Copying definitions itself can be beneficial. Writing it down helps it sink in better. However, writing a 100+ definitions of words you've never seen just as busy work isn't helping one at all.
You shouldn't have to spin everything to try and find something beneficial-- either it is or it isn't. That is the truth and you all will deal.

And let's not even get started on the wasting of paper. It's like my Latin teacher said "**** THE TREES!"
The nerve.

It really doesn't though. Whenever I have to do long definitions on paper, my handwriting always starts off great, and ends in the pits.

Why are you still arguing? I said if you want to think it isn't worth anything then go ahead. I'll still think it is and we can leave it at that. This isn't worth a debate, that's for sure.

Okay, y'all can stay copying useless definitions while I will finish my movie.
Wait-- I'm the only one who has to copy definitions.
That wasn't really me arguing with you though. That was me ranting at my Latin teacher who thought it was okay to run off to Scotland for a week and leave us with all these damn definitions.
He's still a great teacher though. Just not when he's absent.

In that case, it would probably be a mess from the beginning. I can't write Hebrew for my life. Too many shapes. And then you gotta write right to left too. Doing too much.
I'd rather learn French.
You know what's funny.. I'm more committed/interested/excited about learning French than any of my other classes... and I don't even take French.

Take French then
All this time I was talking to you guys, I didn't do any of my homework due tomorrow (it's past midnight here) or play the Sims. It's a lose-lose situation for me

So...I'm stuck on something. I got to write 5 more pages for AP Government, and do a 7 page AP Calculus package due tuesday. Should I try to do those now, since it's 11pm at night, or play the sims?
I would normally pick school work, since it's much more important, but then again, it's so late idk if I should do more work. Oh, the government pages are double spaced, so that could be a lot quicker...
|
Sis, when I read this I said "**** your life." I took AP US History in 11th grade and it wasn't that bad at all. I don't even have to write 7 page papers in college English

That's what everyone tells me. I speak French in school ALL THE TIME, everyone's like, "Dude... why the **** are you in Latin when you could be breezing through French?"
