EXCLUSIVE: Christina plans upcoming EPs | Truth Pill & True Soul
In light of her organic lead single "Nighthawks", Aguilera has subtly hinted and teased at TWO upcoming EPs - Truth Pill and True Soul. They aren't set for a release date as of yet, however, Christina has confirmed that they will follow on after her LP has been dropped. "Nighthawks" won't be included on any of the EPs. From a lateral standpoint, they seem to be isolated from the LP and from each other.
TRUTH PILL
It'll be the first of the EP franchise and mark a controversial yet personal time ahead for our Legend X. The themes expected are along the lines of a occult campaign. This one will expect to receive more backlash than "True Soul". Having said that, the EP will without a doubt be one of Aguilera's more exciting and interesting ventured-out investments. The sound of "Truth Pill" is said to capture the essence of a nocturnal, airy bout of self-expression. Visually-stunning and filled with taboo subject matters. "Fighter" with a sadistic edge to it.
TRUE SOUL
Another EP amidst the catalyst falls, this one has been rumoured to feature quite a number of authentic and soulful grooves. Christina will take on a more chill image with "True Soul" and she'll definitely create a contrast between the two EPs. Not much is known about TS compared to TP although they are pretty polarising opposites.
We feel as though Aguilera will challenge herself with these extensive projects and don't doubt her artistic return to form. Further details on Xtina's upcoming 8th studio album and those two EPs shall be noted down as soon as possible.
Aguilera's lead single "Nighthawks" is now available for purchase.
Taylor Swift on SMAPxSMAP Japan
The biggest Western female artist was live from Japan this morning where she performed her latest single 'Psycho' and previous hit singles 'I Knew You Were Trouble' and her biggest Japanese hit to date 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together'. Swift sang two extra songs for free as they were done by request of the audience. Swift also gave a short interview. Usually the members of SMAPxSMAP join artists on stage for the performances but Swift did not allow it as she felt their weren't enough time to to arrange the melodies and etc. Swift's vocals were on point in every performance as she even extended a high note in 'We Are Never Getting Back Together, showcasing her vocal range.
Japan absolutely adores you. When will be able to see you again live?
I've never really been big here in Japan until the RED era came around, along with We Are Never Getting Back Together. But you guys showed me lots of love with my last two albums so you can bet I'm definitely going to be back. You guys are actually going to get me sooner than the rest of the world. So Japan you better be ready for me.
Your next album is being highly anticipated. How much of it did you write?
I wrote every song alone minus a few. Producers kind of give themselves a writing credit sometimes even if they didn't really write a lyric. Some people would flip over that but I'm not a broke hoe who needs royalties. Can't say the same for some women in pop.
There's been much debate about your next single? What will it be?
Earlier this week I said it would be a track featuring Charli XCX but you know thinking about it I'm having second thoughts. I'm not really sure. There's like five good tracks I have to choose from to make the single. I'm going to decide in the next 48 hours for sure.
You and Namie Amuro are becoming good friends. What's she like to be close with?
She's amazing. She's absolutely hilarious and she's definitely someone who you can just be yourself around. I remember she visisted me in the studio one day and I literally ditched the studio to go get dinner with her. That's like really rare. I never leave the studio early. Usually I'm in there all day and night. But yeah she's just fun to be around. I really want to work with her.
Psycho and Swarovski are performing well here in Japan? How do you feel about Japan's support?
I'm really grateful. My manager told me this morning that I was named one of the most powerful western acts in Asia and you know I find that really weird but honoring at the same time. Not everyone can make it over here and be successful. The fact you've all been so accepting and loving to me and my music is just something I can't thank you all enough for.
Taylor Swift on Zip Show Biz Japan
Japan's favorite American Taylor Swift was a guest on their show this morning where she performed two songs for them. Swift took to the show wearing a beautiful black maxi dress with some heels as she performed her first #1 'We Are Never Getting Back Together' and her recent single that she features on for Paige Elliot named 'Psycho'. The song ('Psycho') has spent the past one or two days battling Namie Amuro's latest release 'Sweet Kisses'. We assume this has nothing to do with Paige Elliot as her latest singles have struggled to chart in Japan. Swift's performance of Psycho consisted of her performing the song on a grand piano, performing a haunting version of it as clips from the music video played on the screen behind her. Fans of Swift loved the rawness of the performance of it saying it was a breath of fresh air from the full on production performances she'd been giving as of late.
Taylor Swift, how are you enjoying Tokyo?
I really love it. Everyone here is so fashionable and I kind of feel inspired by that. Musically and fashion wise too. The boys are really cute here too, I'm not going to lie.
We saw a tweet that you wanted Namie to hook you up with a J-Pop boy. Which one?
Namie knows what I like so you have to ask her. I trust her.
You just sang your new single. It's entirely different than what's on the radio. Were you nervous about taking the risk?
I mean I guess there was anxiety there but it definitely wasn't for me but more from my label. It's not your catchy and radio friendly song. It's a creepy ass song that's going to make some people kind of scared. I had faith in Paige in making the song a single though so I no I really didn't feel necessarily scared about releasing it.
You said your next single will be more radio friendly, correct?
I did say that. You know we are deciding on a single but every song on this record really has an infectious melody and lyrics. Even the songs that you don't are radio friendly have some kind of hook that makes it memorable. I do it with all my songs and I swear it's not intentional.
We wish you so much success with your new music!
Thank you so much for being so nice to me. I love you all and thanks for having me.
Ever since Austin debuted the Arianators have had an ongoing feud with the Mahomies. The feud is based off both artists debuting at the same time and being nominated for Best New Artist at multiple awards. The feud has gotten to the same level as the Beyhive - Navy and KatyCats - Monsters. Austin posted a picture on instagram with Ariana inside the studio. This picture has made Twitter go on a frenzy. The Arianators and Mahomies have finally made peace with each other.
Iggy Azalea has started up a contest for her fans! The contest is to see which of her fans can do the most promotion for her upcoming album. She put out this statement on her video:
"I want them to go crazy! They can put up signs, posters, tell their friends at school, put it up on social media, or whatever they can, then they just submit a video on my website. The fan who is able to do the most creative promotion will win front row tickets to my show, $10,000, and a day with me! How does that sound?"
Paige Elliot made an appearance on Z100, New York's Hit Music station, where she proceeded to discuss various issues around her recently, including her drunken debacle with Taylor Swift, her joining alcoholics anonymous, her current relationship, and her future work in music. She eventually performed an acoustic version of "Psycho", solo, at the end of her interview.
Interviewer:
So, Paige, welcome to our studio. We're so happy to have you here!
Paige:
Oh, lord, thank you. I'm happy to be here, as well.
Interviewer:
Now, have you done radio interviews and performances before?
Paige:
Yes. Not that often, though. I really do prefer live, visual performances and appearances on actual TV shows, but I'm always up for this stuff. Being in the studio here reminds me of when I'm mixing and recording back at home. It feels so... comfortable, I guess.
Interviewer:
Speaking of recording, can you tell us what you're working on lately? Also, do tell us about "Psycho", if you care to. But, we're most excited to hear about upcoming projects!
Paige:
I... have my album done, actually. I've been recording for a while, and I've been shocked by how quickly things have been getting done. I made the finishing touches two days ago, and I played it for my label, and they loved it. It's got thirteen songs on the standard, sixteen on the deluxe... And the material is really a huge improvement from my previous stuff. I have producers like Amon Tobin, who produced "Psycho", on it, and his stuff is just so trippy and amazing, and I was so happy to be able to work with him on it. Then I'm working with William Orbit, who produced this one song on the album, called "Superhero", that I think is honestly my best song to date. It's got a choir, but it also gets really, heavy, almost dubstep-like... It's all so amazing.
Interviewer:
Can you tell us the title of the album?
Paige:
Not right now, I can't, ha ha. I'm planning on revealing that myself at a later date.
Interviewer:
Also, who's the album's executive producer? Is it going to be Amon, William, or anyone else? Also, can you name other producers you're working with?
Paige:
Actually, for a change, I'm the executive producer, along with my younger sister, Angel. I decided that instead of putting the control of the album in the hands of someone else, I wanted to be fully in charge. I made sure everything was how I wanted, and I changed it all to perfection. I oversaw every single change made... Angel helped a lot with it, filling in for me when I wasn't physically there since I've been travelling a lot and filming for movies. She always had me on the phone with her whenever there was a meeting, though, so I still got final say over changes made. It's great to be in charge over it, but it's honestly kind of tiring. I'm just glad I got to do it... As for other producers, I'm going back to old friend Dr. Luke for just one song, but it's mostly William Orbit in control. I have Greg Kurstin and the Knife working on a few things, along with Diplo on one song, then I have the Monsters and the Strangerz producing the title track and one other song on it... They're really great, all of them, and I'm so happy to be working with them.
Interviewer:
Can you tell us more about "Psycho"?
Paige:
I... was watching a bunch of movies with Taylor, and we saw some stuff going on in one with this dramatic, toxic relationship, and I really wanted to emulate that with the song. It's not a personal song, but many have thought it was about me and David... It's not. In the song, there's just a story between this man and a woman, and they're both so evil to each other and driving each other insane. The song is meant to seem biased, making the woman seem like the victim, but in reality, they're both to blame for the issues with the relationship, and Taylor and I got to work on it really quickly.
Interviewer:
Speaking of Taylor, how are you and her doing? We all saw that mess that happened outside that nightclub here. Are you alright? Are you two going to get through it? What happened?
Paige:
Well, we were supposed to go to this one nightclub for fun. On our way there, I had a lot to drink just in the car on the way there, and I was acting a bit reckless... I started saying some mean things online towards other people, and then even began to turn on Taylor a bit. She sort of put up with me, taking it as a joke and all, but I never meant to say any of that. When we got into the club, it got worse. We were with some friends of ours, and I started to act even worse. I kept having more and more to drink, and at one point, Taylor just told me to calm down and I snapped at her then threw my drink at her. I then tried to leave, and she grabbed me to stop me, and we just were arguing... She then grabbed onto my hair and yanked me to the ground and just kept pulling on me. It hurt, a lot in fact, but I deserved it. She gave me a lesson I really needed, to be honest. As for how we're doing, I think we're alright. I've talked to her since, and I think this was kind of something that needed to happen.
Interviewer:
And she urged you to go to alcoholics anonymous?
Paige:
Yeah. Since the whole thing that happened last night was because of my drinking, along with several other incidents that have happened due to my drinking, she and some others thought it would be great for me to go get help, though it was mostly her. I think they're right. I need to stop drinking so much, even though I hate things like AA, so I'll go to that if it's what I need. She's happy I decided to go get help, and I'm happy I chose to do that as well.
Interviewer:
In your public announcement of you going to alcoholics anonymous, you started to mention a boyfriend, before you stopped yourself. Is there anything you want to share about that?
Paige:
Oh, alright. Fine. I guess I'll open up a bit on that... I do have a boyfriend. He's a fellow actor, and he's just amazing. After things sort of fell through with Robert and I, I found this guy through Taylor since they were working together on a film, and he just got to me. We started seeing each other more, and we're officially dating... I love him a lot, really.
Interviewer:
But who is he?
Paige:
I'll share that later, he he...
Interviewer:
I think we're coming to the point where you should perform "Psycho"... But before that, is there anything else you'd like to say?
Paige:
Uh, well... Buy "Psycho", I guess!
Paige then went on to perform "Psycho" acoustically, causing Z100 to see its highest amount of listeners in a very long time.

Drake Bell Shades Justin Bieber AGAIN, Promotes Miranda Cosgrove
Will Drake Bell ever get over his Justin Bieber obsession? The former Nickelodeon superstar has fell under the radar recently, and his ongoing feud with Justin Bieber and the Beliebers is the only thing keeping his name in headlines. The ongoing saga continued when Drake sent out a tweet in support to his TV sister, Miranda Cosgrove.
In the tweet, Drake called Justin out on his "fake Urban persona" while complimenting Miranda, saying that her sound was more authentic than his. Yikes! Will Miranda comment on what Drake said, or will she let it slide? Miranda has faced her own share of criticism with her new single 'Queazy,' which features rap superstar Drake (NOT the actor). Many people find the lyrics sexist, or just down right inappropriate. Miranda has yet to comment on any of these allegations, leaving us wondering – does she agree with these claims? 'Queazy' is on iTunes and Spotify, and the lyric video can be found on YouTube.
