Well, she was already a huge celebrity, people already knew who she was but the material that she released with the Scene wasn't great, and the demographic she used to appeal to was very limited.
Stars Dance was a step forward and Revival is another big step on the right direction, the material is much stronger this time, more mature, interesting and caters to a bigger demographic, I haven't been following her career closely but I think she gets more support and promo now which helps a lot
Like I said people already knew who she was and now that she is releasing stronger material, the public is supporting it and so radio goes with it.
