Exactly, I wouldn't even notice they were gone if it wasn't for them showing those flashes of them being defeated in the very beginning. I have a feeling they're important to the plot, but they haven't been mentioned once.

It's so confusing. Didn't someone say their existence got erased or something? But if so then why do both TK and Kari have S02 digivices still and the S01 characters know Ken by name?

Of course 02 kids are important to the plot. They even mentioned them in this OVA when the woman was telling Yamato that Ken was okay but then she told the other guy they couldn't tell the kids that Ken and the others were missing.

Oh are the S02 kids the ones they were referring to? I thought they were just talking about random digidestined around the world or something.

Although, I find it hard to believe that TK and Kari have NO CLUE that they are missing since i'm assuming they would still communicate with them to an extent.

Anyways I'm here for them trying to find out where they are and rescuing them in the last 2-3 ovas.

I honestly couldn't care less about the S02 kids but Veemon is one of my favorite digimon so i'd only be here for them if I get to see him fight.
