A mess.
With the the release date being the same for every country. Why would any fan deprive themselves the experience of going into the game blind or using only older gen pokemon? It's going to be the first time since I started playing these games, that we're not going to know every last detail about it before its released. So sit.
Because trying to play the original games is absolutely frustrating when you're used to new mechanics? With a game series like Pokemon, remakes are perfect as they give you the full experience of the past with new graphics, new features, and Pokemon from future generations in the later portions of the game.
I dunno why people hate on PokeRemakes, they're amazing. HeartGold/SoulSilver is to this day my favorite Pokemon title.
HG/SS and B2/W2 are the best and most complete games of the franchise, while gen 3 introduced the best new region and batch of Pokémon. X/Y and teh 2014 R/S remakes will probably surpass both in every aspect

the HGSS remake was so AMAZING XP
for me:
Gen 2 > Gen 1 > Gen 4 > Gen 3 > Gen 5
I only got to play gen 3 for a day when i was a kid... cause i just borrowed the game from a friend LOL
the other gens i got to play for a long time XP gen 5 really sucks... just even small memories of me playing gen 3 already kicks its ass... HAHA
maybe i'll play GEN 3 again one of these days (now that we have all of these ROM's laying around) XP

RageRuby and SeaSapphire quite possibly may be the best entry to the series.
HG/SS was the most beautiful Pokemon game I've ever played. Everything about it was just pure amazing. Its my favorite entry in the series. If I had to rate them on games:

Well it is a children's game so I doubt the new mechanics will too difficult to comprehend.
I still don't understand how anyone can be opposed to using new Pokemon through the first play through but oh well.

Sorry, mechanics perhaps wasn't the right word. It's just a little frustrating trying to play an older game without running shoes and some of the features we perhaps overlook.
I'm so sad i lost my copy of HG and also deleted my team which slayed, if i find it i will restart.
