QUEEN! I don't think you all understand what the implication of this actually is, though. Bey just proved that all the desperate promo in the world doesn't matter if quality music simply isn't there. Other artists can act like attention *****s all they want, but what Bey just proved is that just because you have millions of people talking about you childish attention seeking antics doesn't mean you actually have any kind of impact or respect as a musician. Wrecking Ball didn't become a phenomenon because people were so moved by it and they wanted to support Miley as an artist, it become a phenomenon because people wanted to mock it, which is reflected in Bangerz's opening numbers. This goes to all the other girls as well, not just Miley.
And as much as I love Gaga, and as much as I enjoy ARTPOP as an album, Bey's record is much more consistent in quality and shows the artistic side to pop music much better than ARTPOP does. And what Interscope/Lady Gaga don't seem to understand is that Gaga can have all the staged Twitter meltdowns she wants, or can be a part of as many media circuses as she wants, but just because people are talking about her doesn't mean people are listening to the music. Bey made a record that speaks for itself, she didn't turn it into a spectacle, she just released high quality music and proved that if one manages to cultivate an image that resonates positively with the general public, and if one doesn't resort to cheap antics, one will be respected as an artist and will reap the rewards of that respect.

The music AND the visuals. It's not like she hasn't attempted something like this before (think B'Day), but the execution of this album far exceeds anything else attempted this year. Every visual, every detail adds to the emotion and power of each track. You can really tell she poured everything into this release, wanted it to be perfect. And it is.
I mean, she's in a mosh pit full of dudes in a feminist anthem such as ***Flawless. And "Superpower"'s visuals have me in awe. Just perfection.

So this is obviously the feeling MJ stans used to have back in the 70s, 80s and 90s. I can get used to it. The moment ur musical icon slays each and everyone by a mile with quality, bravity, and innovation (musically + visually).

It doesn't even matter if she has a huge hit tbh. It would be nice but the impact has been made. This really shows that record labels need to go back to the drawing board.

And Beyonce just dumps her album on iTunes and annihilates them all. A year of lacklustre sales for female artists and she does this? Numerous articles about the decline of the album and she does this?
Not to mention, Beyonce is an artist who is past 30, past her It Girl peak. I mean this as no shade; I love Bey, but everybody has their time of being the hottest thing and then the world gives younger, newer stars that kind of attention. I knew she'd always be successful, but after 4 albums, marriage and a kid, I did not think it was possible for her to really cause so much excitement again. I should never underestimate this queen. No one should .

I’m so proud of her. Honestly, WHO ELSE?! I wouldn’t have cared if it sold 100 copies because it’s just so amazing and her best work yet but this news is just a BIG F U to her haters. I know her doubters, her haters and worst critics are lurking..
ANY QUESTIONS?
Other stanbases can’t say any type of **** now. How long did we have to go through them calling Bey a flop? Calling her local?? ‘4’ may have underperformed for yoncé’s standards but she still was, is, and will always be Beyoncé Giselle sounds&looksbetterthanyourfave Knowles Carter. This album, this album...yeah they can’t say **** now.
for my king, and yours

people saying but she still doesn't have a hit single
You guys know that this just proves how she DOES NOT need a hit single to sell her album right?
This is just crazy, she outsold my main fave and she outsold your main fave, she probably outsold her own main fave, she even outsold BeyHive's main fave coz well this is her biggest debut

She is not selling based on her name tho. More like based on the hype
That her surprise release created.
