But, how does this nerf make her more magey?
It makes her weaker, so it's harder to 100-0 somebody, which weakens her assassin aspect, but that does not help her become more magey.
Also, assassin Ahri needs less spell rotations to do her job, which means assassin Ahri doesn't need as much mana. A kite/mage Ahri will have to spam her skills to be effective, so her skills need a lower mana cost if they want to make her mage aspect stronger. MAYBE, lower cooldowns too.
