Ive just given up, 100% given up, when we get news we get news but im not going to think about it so i dont care when we dont
I'm really pissed at her. she just doesn't get how you treat your fans in 2012. social media - fans are now "closer" to artists because of things like Facebook, twitter, etc. the game has changed, and she doesn't get how to play it. we don't want to be ignored all the time, we don't want to see pictures of your ****ing cat, and we don't want you to patronize us with meaningless ******** about how you omgzzzz luv us xforever1,000,000 <33333333
I'm sure there is a ton going on behind the scenes that we just don't understand, but Ke$ha certainly doesn't give the impression that she's working hard AT ALL. maybe she is and we just can't see it, but from here, she looks like a lazy, freckle-y troll.
two of my other faves are on their HUSTLE all the time, and they just treat their fans better than this. that's just all there is to it.
I keep trying to "not care," but I really love Ke$ha so I always end up back in this thread, waiting for news that may not come for several more months (if we're lucky). but I am going to try even harder to not care so maybe the time will pass faster.........still, I am not the same Ke$ha stan that I was in 2009.
Sigh.. another dead day I see :/ well my parents are in the country so i am going to be busy checking that out. I will try and stay updated as such as possible

lions, tigers?? is she hinting something... I think so!
I mean why would she google a random tiger... I know because it's named kesha, but still I have a feeling her first single is coming sooner than we expect, perhaps an announcement tomorrow?
I'm getting so angry. We don't have anything to talk about except for how slow and stupid her and her team are. A part of me still thinks we could get news any day. I'm going to be stuck checking this thread and twitter until it happens, I can't help it
Frustration level increasing again I see.
I'm still fine myself, but getting bored with this too. I thought about the situation and tried to put it all into perspective a little bit.
I sometimes read the replies to her tweets, and it's usually the same lately: At least one out of three replies doesn't respond to that tweet at all but is a question about news on the album/songs. I'm absolutely sure that she SEES this, after all she replies to people every now and then, and I'm also sure she sometimes reads those animals' tweets talking about the album that she follows herself. So it's clear to me that she CHOOSES to not reply to them, there's no other way.
My guess:
P!nk has new music out rn, and soon Christina as well. They are both signed to RCA.
--> RCA told Ke$ha to not tweet any details at all on the new album until sometime later, because they don't want her taking away media attention from P!nk and Christina, not for now. They have scheduled Ke$ha's new era to start late August or so with the first single.
I'm sure there are label restrictions we don't know about.
the Christina single hasn't been confirmed by anyone at RCA yet, so I'm kind of hopeful she's not releasing so there's a bigger chance of Ke$ha releasing.
but yeah I'm just like.....the single and the album really need to impress me.
I honestly think she is working very hard for us to ensure she crafts an amazing pop record. It's her life and her music. She really shouldn't feel obliged to anyone or anything right now. She gave us Animal and Cannibal within the space of 11 months. That's a lot of music for under a year. Most artists would not do that, except for Rihanna. The fact that we are all loosing our minds proves how disposable songs have become these days. It's quite sad how we just want more, more and more. Back 5-10 years ago, artists would take a 2 or even 3 year break before recording again and people would not have a problem. They would be patient and respect the artist's choices. The digital era has just made us more hungry for new music all the time. Yes it is frustrating to wait, but I am going to be here until the end because I truly believe she is putting her heart and soul into making this record the best it could possibly be.
Either, we will hear something new by the end of the year or early next year. We've waited this long, so we can wait at most another 5 or 6 months. We just have to stay strong. It will come.

Great comment, and you're right.
It took her how long? 7? years to complete Animal. Certainly she is more experienced as a songwriter and pop musician in general now and will be faster than this, but she hasn't taken THAT much time yet for us to be so frustrated.
Chances are the label has NOTHING to do with it, that's why I was asking you for your opinion. Maybe she just wants more time to work on new material and on what she has already done.
I'm one of the few, if not the only one, that believes she's simply working on the album. The Get Sleazy Tour was her main focus for 2011 and she took vacations after that. Yes, she was writing throughout the tour, but only now has she been meeting up with producers and other writers to actually create the album and its sound. I think most of us can tell that the album will differ a lot from her previous work, the Wayne Coyne snippets speak volumes. I think that she's just trying perfect and fine tune everything.
But, I think it could very well be label orders, Thaye. I remember the video of her in gold, and it makes me think everything's finalized and waiting for the OK from the label (the reason for all of her runarounds).
I dont even know what to believe, part of me thinks that we arent hearing anything because of Pink and Xtina but that dr. luke tweet about her needing to still record really mind-****ed me, whatever happens, however long we still have to wait i just hope that its worth the wait and we get a proper explanation one day on why this took so long

If I stand correct, the label has not made any mention of her name for a long time. As we all know, her songs are very prone to leaking, as "Woo Hoo" did. That itself ruins a lot of opportunities. Perhaps they wish to keep her low-key until everything is ready to go. You can't be too open about the recording process, because it isn't a good thing. She is working with Luke now, so I doubt they will be turning back any tracks. I could see maybe one or two Wayne Cohen tracks making it as well. "Make You Mine" is a pop ballad, and that song about futuristic sex toys is also very Ke$ha. There won't be drastic changes on this record. Just new elements incorporated into her music. I don't think RCA has that much of a problem really.
what exactly tells you that she's working hard? the endless pictures of her cat?
I dont know, I'm just less optimistic about the record after Wayne hinted that their stuff might not ever be released. that seems to indicate that RCA didn't like them and forced her to record more songs with Luke and co.
And i mean I'm a huge Dr. Luke stan, but it just worries me that maybe her vision for the album was totally shut down in favor of making things more radio friendly.
And yes, we are more impatient in the digital era, but our expectations were set by teasing and info from Luke and Ke$ha that just ended up not being true. I think we'd all be dealing much differently if THEY hadn't set the expectation of new music so long ago...and then so many more times after that
I agree. You can't promise summer jams and then halfway through July NOTHING regarding the album or single has even been released. Not even news. The LEAST they could do is release the album title. Hell, Gaga did that with Born This Way six months before it was released. If they shot the cover, they must know the name.
