He was probably arrested for intent to harm Ke$ha's and was probably only arrested until he was cleared of having anything.
Music is very different from movies, especially ****ography... mostly because it's so common that if a label pursued ever case of copyright infringement they wouldn't have any customers. Along with the fact that a lot of the times leaks are cause by labels. TTWE leaked because Larry Rudolph wanted the song to go to radio asap and Jive Label Group didn't want to change their carefully blueprinted promo schedule for Femme Fatale. The song was literally posted on one of Sony's online databases for a short time.
Plus the DMCA protects sites like Tumblr and Twitter for being held responsible for the content posted on their site by users and also gives them the right to remove anything they feel necessary. It also protects users who they can't prove intended to harm the label in any way. If anything, I would get sued for damaging sales and they can charge a certain amount for every download made on a file that was uploaded from my ip and computer signature.
