Yeah, I know. I'm looking back at pictures online and I forgot how gorgeous the packaging was. I remember a lot of people I know hated it compared to the original.

Ch, how dare they I've never actually seen the original though, but I've never been that interested, plus I heard some of the songs from it and I'm not a fan of their versions.

Ahh I remember all the articles and rumors about Hairspray 2, those were some interesting times. Me 9 years ago would've done anything for a sequel but now I'm very glad it didn't happen because it's not necessary and the first one truly stands on its own.

I guess great people like us have great taste though I couldn't get into Teen Beach Movie. My sister LOVES it though for some odd reason but eh, that's your guy's prerogative. I don't think Disney Channel will ever make something as big as HSM was, movie wise.

I've seen the trailer for the original Hairspray and it turned me off so much to it, but I know people associate it with nostalgia so I do understand. I never liked Ricki Lake anyway.

I literally had no clue, but it would have been a Grease 2 mess, lbr. The first one is iconic definitely all on its own. I remember I was so excited to watch it on TV, I even predicted when they would have put it on I thought it'd be there in 2010, but it was there around middle of 2008. Hairspray is such an important musical though because it discusses sexism and racism too. The 'I Know Where I've Been' scene always makes me shed a tear. it's beautiful! Probably gonna go watch it on YouTube now
