We first have to get label announcement, that will be announced just on their site, twitter or place like that. For single, I don't think she has to announce it, just release it, maybe on her site/twitter/facebook a few days before.

She better not announce it at the KCA's. Most of that audience doesn't even know who she is.

I would not oppose her attending the KCA's with Luca and doing interviews talking about music then making the label announcement on the 31st.

Single announcement doesn't have to be until late April/early May with a countdown to its release.

I don't know about you guys but if hilary doesn't announce she's signed herelf, I have this feeling the press release will come with a singe release date. If not the exact date then a month. I just have this feeling they will coincide together. Also I can't believe were almost April what are they waiting for....

Oh this is incredible we are almost in April, the label announcement better be the next month or at the end of March. I want the single to be out in May/June. Album September/October is a good season for album releases (aka good sales).

It seems more and more likely the single will release in May. She was hoping for a late spring release

We need to not get the label announcement and the single release date in the same day. I mean that's likely to happen, but building hype is more important than letting all of the cats out of the bag on the same day, especially for a returning artist.

To be honest, the label announcement should've been made first week of February. She attended those pre-Grammy parties the week before, interviews were being published of her talking about new music. The timing was perfect.

I don't think they had a first single recorded yet though. You know how it is. There are some songs that make for the perfect first single and some that don't ala Beyonce's "XO," which screamed third single. That's why most artist's first singles are some of the last songs they have recorded. :-o

I have a feeling that she will be recording whatever ends up being her first single within the next few weeks, if not already.

Justin was in RCA already. I think so, and he announced one week before the release of "Suit and Tie" that he was releasing a new album it was a surprise.

I am here for a press release rather than Hilary just openly saying on a red carpet that she is signed to whatever label, Hilary can then tweet the link out to the press release and then do a second tweet with her thoughts on the matter ("I'm so happy to be signed and cannot wait for my first single to be released.") I think the press release manner is way better than a red carpet announcement.

I know he was already signed, the point is that things were planned out. Things weren't all announced in one day. That's why most labels fail at preparing releases.

That's what I'm hoping for too. A red carpet announcement is tacky as hell. We need a press release plus Hilary simultaneously announcing it.

It's kind of underwhelming knowing Hilary has possibly not recorded the first single yet. I have my suspicions on what I think it may be, but seeing as it's a song she recorded early on in the process perhaps it won't be.

By the way, our ideas really need to be forwarded to management
